Lose Calm

Sorcery

Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn and can't be blocked this turn except by two or more creatures.

Instead of the Shambling Shell and Golgari Rotwurm, I think the deck could instead utilize some Body Dropper and Iron Apprentice, as well as bumping the Bloodbriar to 4. Ideally, the Mark of Mutiny can be replaced with another Act of Treason or a Bloody Betrayal for some kind of draw filtering, or perhaps another Lose Calm for stealing the opponent's strongest creatures for combat and sacrificing them before it wears off. Some Tentative Connection would be exceptionally useful alongside Body Dropper.

I am going to be obsessed with this deck now. I'll try not to Lose Calm over that. If I lose my cool I could flip a table or Fling a Bone Shaman.

In rosso. 6/6 first strike.
  • Dark Ritual -> Non è forte come Mana Geyser.
  • Hero's Downfall -> Ruinous Path e risparmi.
  • Rakdos Charm -> Nessuno dei sui effetti è così utile, se non forse esiliare il cimitero, but then again... Bojuka Bog?
  • Dreadbore -> Murder e risparmi.
  • Vandalblast -> Costa davvero tanto.
  • Worn Powerstone -> Citadel of Pain perché la Powerstone fa schifo. Oppure Talisman of Indulgence.

Dico cose come:

Update: I've taken another look at this deck, and I think it can still be improved. Also, a deck description wouldn't hurt; it would help others to know what you want out of this deck, and make it easier to help.

I'm gathering from this that the goal is to get small creatures with first strike pumped up, make them difficult to block, and then go in for as much damage as early as possible. If you really want to keep the Sulfur Elemental, I'd suggest adding either Crusade or Honor of the Pure. Crusade will help your opponent's white creatures as well (same as Sulfur Elemental), but it's the cheaper option, and contributes more to devotion for Iroas. I'd also highly recommend Porcelain Legionnaire, as it's a First Strike white creature like Boros Recruit, and also like Boros Recruit, it doesn't matter what mana you have available, just how much. It can also hit the field as early as turn 2, and it can get the boost from Sulfure Elemental and Crusade or Honor of the Pure. You could also probably get away with bumping down a couple more lands, it still seems like it's too much, especially for a deck in which the most expensive card has a CMC of 4.

For spell cards, you could use Demoralize or Gorilla War Cry to make creatures harder to block, and Gorilla War Cry gives a draw, too. Lose Calm can let you take over an opponent's creature, and give it menace, to get in some quick damage, and Invigorated Rampage would be a great card to boost attack power for one turn, and the Trample effect makes sure that boost doesn't go to waste.

I've actually been working on this for a bit, if you want to check out what I've been doing, here Help pls fix - Boros Menacing Champions. Feel free to grab some ideas from here or completely disregard it. I'd really recommend adding Crusade and Porcelain Legionnaire, they seem to help the deck quite a bit. I tried to keep everything fairly budget here.

bushido_man96 on Do you even fling, bro? - first EDH deck

You should really find a way to work in Adarkar Valkyrie, Reya Dawnbringer, and I play a Brion deck with Lifeline in it.

Also, you might run more theft cards, like Act of Treason, Lose Calm, Mark of Mutiny, and the like. Why fling your own creatures all the time when you can fling others? Steal a creature, attack with it, then throw it back to them. Now that's card value.

Here is the list I currently run:

chosenone124: Arcbond/Chandra's Ignition: I can see the point to these, but both space and difficulty to pull off. Furthermore, they aren't very useful on their ownBalduvian Rage: Once again space, and the slight downside of only drawing in the next turn made me choose Spark of Creativity over it, to help set up the win now turnDistemper of the Blood: Fairly minor effect for a fairly large cost ad no real discard outlets to make this super effectiveOverblaze: Very much a win more card, not as efficient as TBR either.Spawning Breath: Kinda wraths my board most of the time, even though it has a good upside it is fairly negligible. Also again I wish I had more space, but here we are, so it doesn't make the cut, unfortunately. :(Lose Calm/Seize the Day: Also seems win moreish. The untap doesnt help with much beyond Krenko and a few dorks. Also they aren't the best for extra combats, along with the size limits I dont see space for adding these unfortunately since they are so fun to slam.

Thanks for commenting, it is always appreciated!

Here are some ideas:

Arcbond: Blast everyone on the table with an obscene amount of damage.

Chandra's Ignition: Ditto (you can control the damage with creative stacking)

Balduvian Rage

Distemper of the Blood

Lose Calm: Haste Menace all your stuff

Overblaze

Seize the Day: An extra combat for each of your creatures (IMPORTANT: Works best with instants that untap, as this won't untap between each combat.

Spawning Breath: Tons of mana and creatures

Can't you just cast Seize the Day on your second main phase after attacking targetting Zada, Hedron Grinder copy and untap, swing again with your first extra combat then on your extra main cast Wrangle, Act of Treason,Besmirch,Harness by Force,Hijack,Kari Zev's Expertise,Mark of Mutiny,Threaten,Traitorous Blood,Unwilling Recruit,Lose Calm,Malevolent Whispers,Portent of Betrayal,Temporary Insanity,or Traitorous Instinct on Zada, Hedron Grinder then copy and untap all your creatures move to the next combat phase Ad Nauseam. Or you could Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker with Zealous Conscripts to infinite swing each combat. Or have Sword of Feast and Famine on a creature when it hit and combo off with cantrip copies on Zada into draw and more untap. Then if you're going with the infinite combat should probably put in Aggravated Assault as another infinite combat option, though with all the card draw you'll get it relatively quickly not even putting into consideration Past in Flames to cast those already cast untap spells again from the graveyard. Should be enough untap + combat phases to kill everyone. Though this seems like a lot of mana with a spliced Desperate Ritual onto Blazing Shoal you should get three red mana per creature if for some reason you weren't able to equip Sword of Feast and Famine. All of this relies on having the cards but cantrip draw shouldn't be a problem. Maybe this would work , haven't done the math, but it's a possibility.
