Bitter Feud

Bitter Feud

Enchantment

As Bitter Feud enters the battlefield, choose two players.

If a source controlled by one of the chosen players would deal damage to the other chosen player or a permanent that player controls, that source deals double that damage to that player or permanent instead.

Bitter Feud Discussion

griffstick on How to play aggro?

You got to take advantage of what boros gives you to be aggressive. The biggest thing boros gives you that no other color pairing gives you is extra combats. Take advantage of that with cards like Combat Celebrant, Aurelia, the Warleader, World at War, Scourge of the Throne, Seize the Day, Savage Beating, Relentless Assault, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, Waves of Aggression, Response / Resurgence, Breath of Fury Hellkite Charger, Aggravated Assault, Fury of the Horde and Port Razer. Along with that you need to speed up the damage output. Boros gives you damage doublers, with cards like Fiendish Duo, Goblin Goliath, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Insult, Furnace of Rath, Gratuitous Violence, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Curse of Bloodletting, Bitter Feud, Angrath's Marauders, Overblaze, Inquisitor's Flail, and Fiery Emancipation.

Also consider other things boros gives you that will speed up damage like double strike. Boros gives you haste, trample, and evasion. You need to consider all of those. All while staying low on curve and fast in ramp. If you do this you'll have a good aggro deck.

The trick here is to stack on mass damage enchantments, then use doubling enchantments.

Impact Tremors, Warstorm Surge, Purphoros, God of the Forge, etc.

Bitter Feud, Furnace of Rath, Fiery Emancipation, Dictate of the Twin Gods, etc.

Then you want damage stacks.

Chandra, Awakened Inferno, Burning Earth, Manabarbs, Ankh of Mishra, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, etc.

You'll want explosive ramp together everything out on curve, so this puts you in Gruul.

Don't make it complicated by adding extra colors. Just Gruul. Plenty of card draw in these two colors. Look toward impulse draw (exile and play).

Sunbird's Invocation, Outpost Siege, Furious Rise, Dream Pillager as well as regular draw like Harmonize, Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising.

Now you're dealing with tons of noncreature spells, so Ruric Thar, the Unbowed is off the table.

I think Klothys, God of Destiny is your best bet. She gets out early, is hard to remove and lands 6 total damage per turn with her graveyard hate trigger.

Blackheart426 I've found that Circle of Flame, Tempt with Vengeance, and Bitter Feud aren't often that great of cards in this deck. However, I have added Rite of the Raging Storm to the deck, and I may add the artist in eventually. Thanks for the comment!

Love this deck! Have you considered Circle of Flame and Blood Artist? Tempt with Vengeance, Bitter Feud, and Rite of the Raging Storm can be funny as well. Keep it up!

This deck is hysterical! I love it! For your consideration; Tempt with Vengeance to get people to swing at each other more. Blood Feud and Bitter Feud are just funny and keep with the motiff of goading people. Keep it up!

No Bojuka Bog , Exotic Orchard , Commander's Sphere , Field of Ruin , or any of the Talismans. Yet, I see Path to Exile , Strip Mine , Phyrexian Arena , and Rhystic Study . While all of these are commander staples in their respective colors, I'd recommend refining the deck before just making a budget '5 color Good Junk' deck. While card advantage is great, the money would be better spent on something like Smothering Tithe , Revel in Riches , Black Market , Land Tax , Exploration , or Burgeoning . At least those will help cast your commander faster.

Cut out some of the nonbasic lands, starting with guildgates, and put in the Panorama lands, and swap the bounce lands for basic lands (unless you intend to add landfall).

Where's the quick ramp spells? Cards like Farseek , Cultivate , Explosive Vegetation , and Rampant Growth .

Furthermore, there's a severe lack of tutors. Diabolic Tutor , Diabolic Revelation , Open the Armory and Eladamri's Call are all very budget-friendly tutor staples for EDH.

I also see that you're running Thought Vessel and Reliquary Tower , but have you considered Spell Book, Praetor's Counsel , or Library of Leng ? Library of Leng has the added benefit of protecting you from discard effects. If you're going to run cards like Phyrexian Arena and Rhystic Study it pays to protect your hand.

How about protection yourself while you're at it. Crawlspace , Norn's Annex , Sphere of Safety , Propaganda , Ghostly Prison , Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts , Glacial Chasm , Solitary Confinement and other such cards make great protection for decks with few to no other creatures.

Back to the subject of drawing cards. What are you even trying to draw for? You don't seem to have any major combos worth drawing for. At least throw in some cards like Furnace of Rath , Bitter Feud , Curse of Bloodletting , Dictate of the Twin Gods , Inquisitor's Flail , Gisela, Blade of Goldnight , and/or some double strike equipment/enchantments. Or Helm of the Host with a toke copying effect like Parallel Lives , Anointed Procession , Growing Ranks , Second Harvest , Rhys the Redeemed , and Primal Vigor .

Just some things to think about.
