Currently, this deck is at 122 cards. I could use some input on stuff to remove. Advice on additions is welcome too, but my biggest concern at the moment is trimming the fat. I think I'm probably a bit over-supplied on disruption and protection. I also know I need to shift to more non-basic lands and twiddle with the land mix a bit, but I figure to do that after my other changes show me what I'll need. I've been pulling out stuff I like in order to get me closer to the stuff I need, but my progress is slowing. Any helpful thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Sporemound + Life and Limb does not creates Infinite Saprolings, but they definitely multiply the amount of mana available for Helix Pinnacle win condition or for pumping into Ezuri, Renegade Leaderfoil. But it's a 9 mana cost to put them both on the battlefield vs. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger who costs 8 and doubles mana from tapped land. I'll have to think about this.

No Fanatic of Mogis, I feel like my boy is better than something in here.

Also, this is going to sound crazy, but maybe Pyrohemia/Pestilence as a way to repeatedly clear out weenies that people are desperately casting to try to block your guys? it's also good with any Toughness boosting anthems.

Man this looks diabolical, love it.

Ever though about adding other Goad effects as they are pretty strong with what you're gifting here? Things like Disrupt Decorum, Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuserfoil, Coronation of Chaos, Death Kiss, Day of the Moon, Bloodthirsty Blade, Geode Rager, Havoc Eater, Hot Pursuit, Laser Screwdriver, Immortal Obligation, Popular Entertainer, Shiny Impetus, Spectacular Showdown, Taunt from the Rampart and Vengeful Ancestor.

Expecially Disrupt Decorum, Spectacular Showdown and Taunt from the Rampart almost feels like wincon in there while i feel that Immortal Obligation really fits the theme of "good gifts" and Laser Screwdriver is a good mana dump when you've got nothing else in hand.

The OG commanders were the best!

Some cards worth considering:

Rainbow Vale > mountain

Humble Defector > plains

Treasure Nabber > your least favorite mana rock

Puca's Mischief > island

Perplexing Chimera > Mirrormade

Paradox Haze > Fraying Sanity

Political Trickery > The Locust God

Roughly five minutes of solid reading and I agree with Optimator about why I would include Twenty-Toed Toad. However, building this on a budget AND managing to provide so much utility in a mono-colored deck is simply impressive. I like this a lot! Gonna check out the predecessor list, too. Cheers! +1

I would be careful with what you define as "card draw". Have a think about whether after casting it, you've gone up or down on how many cards you have left to be able to cast. Top deck manipulation is more on the card selection side, which is fine for the plan of putting dinosaurs on top for Gishath.

I would also separate your protection spells from your buff spells, since it's useful to know how much protection you have access to.

I would probably take out Temur Battle Rage as another card to cut for a land. Multiple sources of Double Strike are redundant, and this is probably the least useful one, since you can't set it up on board before you resolve Gishath unlike the others.

Also three green pips for Llanowar Tribe seems unlikely to hit reliably. This is one I would cut for a land.

Also I just thought about Hulking Raptor and Regal Behemoth which are dinosaurs that can help ramp out Gishath that you might like. Commander's Sphere and Chromatic Lantern are a tad on the slower side and could be replaced by these.

This deck looks pretty good! It reminds me of an Urza, Powerstone Prodigy Unearth deck I was on the brink of building before The Brothers' War rotated out.

Only thing that I find concerning for your deck is the inability to deal with graveyard hate. If you were to find a spot for any combination of Karn, the Great Creator and Revoke Existence in your deck and/or sideboard that should do it.

Happy Hunting!

FormOverFunction on Antique Shop

Idoneity thanks so much!! I do LOVE Refurbish, that’s perfect. I’ve tried to limit the physical size of the antiques (ancient artifacts like Colossus of Sardia is as old as anything, but can’t sit on a shelf) so I’m probably going to miss out on the scarecrows. Even suits of armor, like Haunted Plate Mail, barely missed the cut. If commander ran on 200 or 300 cards then I’d be getting a lot more swords and other cool things, but I’m trying to zero in on things that are more… I don’t want to say ‘worthless’ but definitely more trinkets and oddities than cool combat-ready badassery. It makes the deck WAY worse at killing opponents, obviously, but it makes wins with Metrognome a lot more hilarious. I’m really glad you enjoyed the deck. That’s the real win I’m always shooting for!

Hello 0okm9ijn! Thank you for recognising the flaw on the lands. Yes. You're right and sorry for this late reply. Because when I saw your comment, I got panic to fix it quickly and search what it is the better to swap in. In the original list, it had a basic lands. But as the time goes by, I got rid of it out without thinking about Prismatic Vista. I change it into Morphic Pool now. Again, thank you.

NV_1980 on General Kreat, The Pain-bringing Waifu …

Considering your deck is not entirely budget anymore, why not add Purphoros, God of the Forge as well? Very effective though a bit of an expensive choice, of course. Weftstalker Ardent could also be nice in a similar way. Speaking of non-budget options, some really effective stuff in here could also be Roaming Throne (to double all your tribal trigger benefits) and maybe Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might  Flip (to vastly increase Kreat's damage output for every critter popping onto the battlefield).

I've got a Purph-Gobbo build that features some additional combos, requiring only a few extra cards in this deck (sometimes none at all). Maybe it has something you like.

Greetings Gminor7. I'm trying to learn more about how to run advanced decks like this, and I found your instructions quite helpful. While playtesting the deck, I drew a Prismatic Vista, but upon looking at the decklist, I could not locate any cards able to be fetched by it. I am still studying advanced mtg, but am I correct in that assumption? Thank you in advance.

Those are 2 super interesting cards, I haven't seen those before, I liked having some way to protect some of my utility non horror creatures which is why I had Maskwood Nexus in there but Breach the Multiverse does essentially the same plus more so will switch those 2. Singularity Rupture after giving Undying to all my horrors is rather nasty.

Thanks for those ideas!

My deck is a little inconsistent with mana, I need better mana ramps

Yeah, casting a 3-color 8-drop anywhere even close to curve is no small feat! To get there, I would seriously recommend moving from your current 30 Lands/12 Ramp pieces (unless I missed some) to something like 38 Lands and 21 Ramp pieces. That should allow you to reliably cast Gishath on Turn 7+ ... instead of the current Turn 9+.

I know that sounds like it would require cutting a TON of awesome cards from the deck, but I think you'll be amazed at how much better the deck would run. Maybe try playtesting this deck I threw together, over at Moxfield? It's not tuned at all, but it'll give you a feel for what 38 Lands/21 Ramp pieces will feel like.

Good luck (and good skill!) with Gishath! Cheers!

DubMC, thanks, yeah, they'd work nicely and I used to have those in another artifact deck. However, this one I made just from things I had and opened. I haven't bought any specific cards for it. The more sets that come out the more powerful it gets, lol.
