Sorry, meant to link to my deck: Guttersnipe. It's a similar idea to this, but Red Green.

3) That works.
I also like Hordeling Outburst . They don't get exiled or sacrificed, but if you're making good trades, you shouldn't have to worry about 1/1s.

Yeah I'm not sure what I'd remove for the Excavators. Maybe you don't need them. Just saying they do exist if you decide you need em.

Targets for spells and abilities are chosen as they are put on the stack (114.1). So you couldn't use Liquimetal Coating to change one of your creatures into an artifact, then trade that creature for an artifact. (Having two coatings does not allow you to trade creatures for non-creature permanents.)

Ramunap Excavator would be another Crucible effect.

Lightning Berserker seems better than Glitterfang . In a pinch you could play it normally and not be forced to return it to your hand. Kher Keep is legendary. With only 20 lands, getting 2 of them would set you back. Maybe swap 2 of em for 2 more Mountains. I'm not sure if Brand is worth it in this deck since most of the stuff you trade away gets returned or sacrificed?

Ghost Quarter might be helpful. It creates a landfall and doesn't set you back one mana when you use it, the way Terramorphic Expanse does (because the basic land comes into play tapped). Of course, it doesn't increase your mana pool on the next turn, where Expanse would. You could use it on your Glacial Chasm or your scry lands, or you could use it to nuke an opponent's special lands.
