Commander / EDH*

TDWarrior

Counter and draw through your deck until you hit one of your wincons and keep countering, every blue players dream.

Suggestions

Updates Add

  • Reins of Power - Underwhelming most of the time, in very niche cases it might win you the game but most of the time it is a dead card in hand.

  • Overwhelming Denial - Most of the time you are paying 3 or 4 mana for a Counterspell, although against other blue decks the can't be countered clause is nice you'd rather have more mana up to counter again.

  • Insidious Will - Cut for Cryptic Command, not much else to say for it.

  • Hydroblast - No red decks in my meta make this a bad card as it has always sat in my hand for the entire game.

  • Gigadrowse - Underwhelming, I'd rather Cyclonic Rift or exile/ destroy their creatures.

  • Gainsay - Cut for Jace's Defeat.

  • Curator of Mysteries - Cut it to make room for the Ulamog/Polymorph package.

  • Declaration of Naught - Room for Snapcaster Mage, if I see more Voltron decks in my meta appear it'll come back in.

  • Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre - A mid to late game threat that can be cheated out early with Polymorph and counterspell protection for it means that the game can be over as early as turn 3-5. Even if it whiffs and gets a different creature Torrential Gearhulk or Snapcaster Mage means you can get a second chance, the other outcomes are also really good to cheat out with the only real "bad" outcome being Kefnet.

  • Reweave - See Ulamog.

  • Jace's Defeat - A strictly better version of Gainsay means that it is an easy upgrade.

  • Polymorph - See Ulamog

  • Cryptic Command - Finally was able to pick one up, easy inclusion to the deck as its a great modal spell with huge flexibility, even though most of the time you will be just choosing Counter + Draw the potential to shut down a attack or bounce a permanent is just amazing.

  • Archmage Ascension - With many ways to draw multiple times a turn you can very easily turn this on allowing you to shape your hand perfectly to react to the opponent's board.

  • Synthetic Destiny - See Ulamog, although this one can be extra useful as you can cheat out multiple threats with it.

  • Snapcaster Mage - Not much to say about the power of Snapcaster Mage, I'm just too lazy to swap it in most of the time as it is usually in my Grixis Delver deck.
