Welcome to Love’s Gambit.

This deck is built on commitment, bad decisions, and ignoring every warning sign.

Naturally, our commander is Rowan.

She’s blonde, dangerous, encourages reckless behavior, and wants to be turned sideways every chance you get.

Rowan will allow us to cast extremely dangerous spells for super cheap mana wise. It just costs our life. With the right set up and a little pain, we can destroy our opponents by turn 5. This deck doesn’t aim to go the long game. If we let our opponents get too much mana or attack us too much, we lose our ability to go off.

Torment of Hailfire, Crackle with Power and Jaya's Immolating Inferno are the main wincons. The goal is to use our pain lands in combination with cards like Heartless Hidetsugu or Immolating Souleater to use a bunch of life at once and then turn Rowan sideways so we can go off on our opponents with the above cards.

You’ll often find yourself down to below 20 health from hurting yourself in one turn just to attempt to blow everyone up. Deflecting Swat, Dualcaster Mage, Imp's Mischief,Hexing Squelcher, or Spider-Punk can help protect us on these turns along with our anti blue spells of course.

There’s plenty of good stuff cards in here too to help us, but the best card in the deck to enable our wincons is Treasonous Ogre. Pay our own life AND get mana…yes please.

There’s not much life gain in this deck by design. This is love after all. We go all in for the win. If we lose, at least we truly have it our all.
