This is my 6th Commander deck. After long research, I've finally decided the colors to build into.

Grixis is a color scheme that cares about spells and control, themes that I like. And looking for a tribe that would help me with those topics I found about Wizards and more specifically the C17 preconstructed deck Arcane Wizardry. What if I took its base and updated it a little bit? The idea made me enthusiastic.

Lady Inalla, Archmage Ritualist is the eminent commander for this build, caring about wizards entering the battlefield and abusing EtBs. And those EtB effects care about many things: card advantage (Aether Channeler, Azami, Lady of Scrolls), tutoring stuff (Vedalken Aethermage, Trophy Mage), bouncing permanents (Galecaster Colossus) and returning used spells to hand (Izzet Chronarch).

And what type of spells do we have? Mainly counterspells (Negate, Wizard's Retort), more card advantage (Read the Bones, Mentor's Guidance) and a bit of board controlling (Wizard's Lightning, Necromantic Selection). This gives the deck a heavy Midrange strategy.

And as a Midrange deck, it needs to build enough mana to do its thing. When all is set, casting Cyclone Summoner and bouncing it back with Riptide Laboratory usually clears the path for victory.

Finally, speaking of the legends, we have Kess, Dissident Mage who lets us more spell abuse from the graveyard, Naban, Dean of Iteration who doubles all our wizard EtB triggers, Naru Meha, Master Wizard that copies our spells, and Obeka, Brute Chronologist that is key in letting all the tokens Inalla creates stay in the battlefield to ensure board presence.

These strategies make this deck a very tricky and unpredictable one, knowing that a few more pieces are missing to ensure proper victory. But as it is, I think the current cards in the deck are enough to guarantee a very fun and enjoyable gameplay.
