I love this commander. I would like to suggest stuff to prevent your commander to be countered, like Gaea's Herald, Rhythm of the Wild or Prowling Serpopard. It already have great survivability, the only thing I can see that can bother your play is counter your commander.

Squee_Spirit_Guide I love this. I think I'll always be a Timmy or Johnny at heart, because it puts a little personality into it for me.
On the topic of card frames, I personally love to see a lot of overlap; like newer cards such as Ignoble Hierarch and Baral, Chief of Compliance that got retro frames. Even stuff like Gaea's Herald that has had multiple arts, I wish we could see more reprisal where we get the older art.. in a newer frame. Good little break to remind me of how far magic has come in terms of development seeing this put together.

They're good suggestions. I just prefer the Gaea's Herald spells can't be countered cuz it can protect walking ballista and heliod and stoneforge Mystic. And for one mana more it's never really a problem.
I'm too afraid to give everyone else at the table haste so I prefer to use Thousand-Year Elixir.
And The druid is good but I feel that I get more Mana through the creatures themselves. I'm sure there's a couple that it can definitely help with but not enough that I think it's needed for the deck.
Chord of Calling really just gets heliod because Walking Ballista would just die when it hits the field

I actually made an entire deck around this concept that works surprisingly well. Steve Argyle is a particularly great resource for this topic. In addition to Liliana of the Veil and Chosen of Markov Flip, he's also done Deadly Allure , Guul Draz Vampire , Naya Battlemage , and Night Revelers . Other notable artists are Jason Chan ( Deathpact Angel , Fires of Undeath , Kiora, Master of the Depths , Mayael the Anima , Maul Splicer , Treasured Find ) and Volkan Baga ( Elspeth, Knight-Errant , Korozda Gorgon , Stoic Angel , Student of Warfare ). I ended up going with vampires + knights and some other cards I included are Hero of Bladehold , Knight Exemplar , Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts , Elenda, the Dusk Rose , and possibly the most ridiculous piece of Magic art ever created: Soul Collector . Some cards that came close to making the cut are Angel of Despair , Bloodflow Connoisseur , Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief , Knight of Dusk , Magister of Worth , Avacyn, Angel of Hope , Vampire Hexmage , and Veteran Cavalier .
Other cards that I like (sorted by type) include Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch , Lyzolda, the Blood Witch , Kemba, Kha Regent , Sunspear Shikari , Elvish Champion , Gaea's Herald , Quirion Dryad , Nimbus Naiad , Dreamborn Muse , Mistral Singer , Shipwreck Singer , Siren of the Fanged Coast , Akroma, Angel of Wrath , Archangel of Strife , Basandra, Battle Seraph , Razia, Boros Archangel , and Ire Shaman . Looking at this list now, it's clear I've spent far too much time researching this subject.

Wonder if you want Destiny Spinner over Gaea's Herald? It's got a bigger booty and you might occasionally use the activated ability. Also, some of the spell-lands in the new set might fit the deck well: Turntimber Symbiosis Flip and Bala Ged Recovery Flip especially!

LeaPlath thanks for the feedback. I totally agree on Destiny Spinner. Cheap card to get one if I don't already have it and just a better version of Gaea's Herald.
On Field of the Dead, I'll be honest, I've kept it out of the deck simply for flavor/card design consistency. I run 21 Godzilla forests. It's true, the deck might win a bit more, play more competitively, etc., but those Godzilla lands just look so pretty and that sounds very much like a social EDH decision to me :). I am running enough utility I could probably still run it if there's something else I decide to pull.
Scavenger Grounds needs to be in every deck. Still struggling to decide what to pull out
