Tatyova, Benthic Druid - Land Matters

Commander / EDH Casual GU (Simic) Lands Value Engine

Rourkey

Lands matter.

This by far my most fun deck to play, it doesn't always win but when it does it feels really wholesome.

So the whole idea is to have Tatyova, Benthic Druid in play as she is a pure value engine. Some of the awesome combos in this deck with her in play are as follows.

Boundless Realms cast turn 7 you reach for 7 lands and you gain 7 life and draw 7 cards and now have 14 lands in play. There are a lot of cards that allow you to play extra lands so you might even be able to do this much earlier in the game which will put you miles ahead.

Then cast Scapeshift sacrificing all your land, lets say its 14, you get 14 more life and draw 14 more cards. Then you finish with Splendid Reclamation getting your 14 lands back from the grave and getting 14 more life and drawing 14 more cards. If you have Avenger of Zendikar on the board at this point you will make 14 plants and then buff them for +14/+14 which is game ending. Having Multani, yavmaya's avatar in play can also be game ending. Another card worth mentioning here is Blackblade Reforged equipped to Multani, yavmaya's avatar will be a one shot kill or equip to your commander to make her a Voltron commander. Make sure you have max hand size.

A nice little combo I like in this deck is Trophy Mage tutoring Crucible of Worlds and then using Strip Mine don't forget because we can multiple land on our turns and with Burgeoning in play this can be a harsh combo.

Sylvan Awakening is my most common Win con in the deck.

The infinite combo is as follows. with Walking Atlas in play or any of the creatures that tap to allow you to put a land onto the battlefield, you also have Retreat to Coralhelm in play. You play Simic Growth Chamber and it targets itself to be returned to your hand. Tap the Walking Atlas to put the Simic Growth Chamber back onto the battle field and it targets itself to be returned to hand. Retreat to Coralhelm triggers uncapping the Walking Atlas and you repeat infinity. This gives you infinite landfall triggers. With you commander in play you now draw your entire deck and gain a lot of life. With Elixir of Immortality in play you can get your grave back into your hand as well. Rampaging Baloths or Avenger of Zendikar or Roil Elemental will now trigger and its pretty much game.

Hedron Crab is a new edition to the deck and that with the above combo will mill all of our opponents out.

The deck is hugely fun to play and there are a few other little interactions in it which are cool.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on ways to improve the deck or any other comments.

Thank you
