Maybeboard

Built for my table of four casual decks with unique approaches to the theme of "The High Seas":

  • UW Noyan Dar - The Sea Itself
  • UB Runo Stromkirk - From Below and Beyond
  • UR(B) Beckett Brass - The Pirate Queen
  • UG - TBD, open to suggestions

Gonna listen to sea shanties and have a good time on the high seas. As The Sea Itself, the thematic goal of this deck is to raise up the sea as elementals and control the tide of the game.

All of the boardwipes hit all "nonland" permanents (or creatures!), which becomes a wincon in this deck since it's then one-sided.

Personally a big fan of holding Gush back in my hand so that in the event my creature-lands are facing destruction, they can be returned to my hand with card advantage.

A typical strategy is:

  1. Keep anyone else from winning the game
  2. Build up a few big land creatures while staying under the radar
  3. Wait for enough players to die that I can handle the rest by myself
  4. Boardwipe
  5. Swing out
