The goal of this deck is to produce and then sacrifice eggs to bypass paying high-mana costs for our dragon army. Atla Palani, Nest Tender is at her best when we can ramp her out to the battlefield quickly so that she starts making eggs that, once cracked, turn into a fire breathing nightmare for our opponents.

Egg Production

Atla on her own produces eggs at a cost of just two colorless mana, and with sufficient ramp, we can start to produce them as early as turn 3. As the game moves on, multipliers like Doubling Season and Parallel Lives produce a minefield of potential trouble. Nesting Dragon also produces eggs that can be sacrificed for the intended effect, while also creating additional 2/2 flyers. Maskwood Nexus turns all of our creatures into eggs which allows easy defense decisions knowing a monster swap will take place. Seedborn MuseGC untaps our commander during each of our opponents turns, allowing us to create even more eggs as long as sufficient mana is still laying around.
