My first true, sleeved EDH Deck, Damia is my go-to Gorgon Golgari Gal for Gore and Glory. She works in typical green fashion, crankng out my mana sources early and putting out medium sized creatures until I can get her out. After that, my hand gets refreshed every upkeep with as many massive creatures as I want to put out. Combat focuses mainly on putting +1/+1 counters on my creatures with Contagion Engine and Inoxerable Tide. More gorgons are guaranteed to be in Journey to Nyx, which makes this a possibility.

I've been asked why I don't have Lightning Greaves or Champion's Helm in here to protect Damia, and the reason is simple. Nobody targets her! Why waste a kill-spell on a Commander I can recast when there's a 36/36 Primordial Hydra and a 67/67 Consuming Aberration attacking you?

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord is in there to take out multiple people at once, and Vraska the Unseen's Assassin Tokens are just nasty with Ghostform .

The trick is, the deck looks like it's control at first.. Then it's too late to do anything when she starts running Aggro.
