Inspired by Commander Cookout (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYDJUVWRJ5g), I thought a different take on Breya could be fun. Wincons are either Armed and Armored or being able to crew my vehicles and attack after a board wipe that leaves me chumps to crew. Wake the Past could also work after a Bane of Progress or other artifact wipe.

Breya's Autobody Shop! Power those vehicles! Drain your opponent! Gain life!

The deck revolves around a couple of themes:

THEME 1: Evasion Vehicles

If you're going to be crewing, those vehicles better be able to hit.

THEME 2: Recurring Vehicles

Removing all creatures and making tokens (or activating a land) that can immediately crew our vehicles puts us significantly ahead after a board wipe.

We have a number of recursion options:

And finally Wake the Past could be a wincon if we have another creatures to crew our vehicles with haste.

SUBTHEME 1: ETB Vehicles

Why not take advantage especially of Breya's ETB and other vehicles?

  • Displacer Kitten: Everytime we play a noncreature, we can flicker one of our 11 ETB options (including Breya)
  • Breya, Etherium Shaper: make thopters to crew our vehicles or to sac for a variety of options
  • Imposter Mech: create a copy of a powerful creature or one with a great ETB - and be able to do it repeatedly if Displacer Kitten is out.
  • 9 other options which do direct damage, give us card draw, or create dudes to crew

PROTECTION AND REMOVAL

My playgroup is heavy on these so there are some varied options here:

NOTES

  • Graveyard removal could be a problem. There's a lot of rad counters and graveyard hate in my group. I have tried using Orbs of Warding but not sure too much else can really be done about it. Thoughts?
  • Is Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage worth making the cut?
  • Things with oil counters would be on theme here but not sure they can make the cut?
