I love the storyline and flavor of Alara Block and the Plane of Alara so much that I decided to make a Commander/E.D.H. deck for each Shard. This is my Bant deck, for which I chose Rafiq of the Many to be the Commander. It revolves around Exalted creatures attacking alone but being supported by an army of brothers- and sisters-in-arms, in keeping with the themes of Bant. Most of the cards that I used are from Alara Block, a notable exception being Treva, the Renewer, who was included because all ten of my E.D.H. decks feature their appropriate and iconic Legendary Dragon.

I love Alara so much that I have been writing a fanfiction about an Original Character Planeswalker from Bant who dreams about other Planes (mostly Dominaria, Llorwyn, and Zendikar) in his youth, and that story is the reason why some of the card choices have non-Bant flavor. It is also why Eldrazi Conscription is in this deck, and also why there are Eldrazi cards in the Naya Commander deck I made as well. Please don't judge me for my flagrant fanboyism too harshly.
