You could add the following to make this deck a bit faster, and they're all quite cheap:

Sol Talisman Rakdos Signet Fire Diamond Charcoal Diamond Prismatic Lens Worn Powerstone

cards to remove: Blackblade Reforged, The Eldest Reborn, Smoldering Egg, Volcanic Dragon, Ring of Xathrid, Rune of Mortality

aslo i'd swap Victim of Night for Grim Bounty

i think you want to consider Swiftfoot Boots replacing Ring of Valkas

you should also really consider taking out the dragons for: Blood Cultist Dagger Caster Blood Cultist Prodigal Pyromancer Morbid Opportunist Deathbringer Thoctar Fireslinger Cunning Sparkmage

when those get deathtouch, you can ice any creature that poses a threat to zagras

I would optimize the buffs you give zagras to +3 power so you can kill people in 3 attacks Grafted Wargear Heirloom Blade

double strike is actually way better since the deathtouch will kill the creature on first strike damage: Fireshrieker Lizard Blades Embercleave Assault Strobe Berserkers' Onslaught Blood Mist

Looks like a fun deck! Have you considered Vraska, Scheming Gorgon as an alternate wincon? Hooded Blightfang, Blood Cultist, Goblin Sharpshooter, Call of the Death-Dweller, Viridian Longbow, Quietus Spike, Reaper's Talisman, and Vault of the Archangel all also fit your theme pretty well. If you equip Thornbite Staff to Thorn of the Black Rose who has deathtouch already. Equipped creature has ", Tap: This creature deals 1 damage to target creature or player" and "Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from play, untap this creature." So essentially it is 2 mana to kill a creature. And everytime you kill a creature thornbit Staff untaps the creature

If you equip Thornbite Staff to Blood Cultist and Zagras, Thief of Heartbeats is in play, you simply just tap the Blood Cultist to deal 1 damage, this kills the creature and thornbite Staff untaps the cultist

Blood Cultist is a pinger Thorn of the Black Rose is not

Hey, you're welcome.

There's 12 rogues here for the party, but only 5 clerics, 4 Warriors and 1 Wizard. These ratios of party members will make it difficult to have much mana cost reduction for Zagras especially Wizards. My advice is make these numbers more even to give you more chances to have different party members on the battlefield at once. Changeling Outcast is a budget one drop party member who can be any creature type you choose for party and it's unblockable which has good interaction with several tribal combat damage effects.

Budget Wizards to consider adding:

There's some party members who could be upgraded to better budget creatures especially the Warriors:

Blood Beckoning could be upgraded to Nullpriest of Oblivion who is a two drop Cleric or if you cast with kicker you can reanimate any creature in your graveyard. Beckoning doesn't reanimate it recurs the creature/creatures to your hand which is a big difference. Searing Barrage could be upgraded to any Wizard party member because this removal spell is not needed as it's the least good and costs the most mana for what it does.


Some cards to consider cutting:

Pump spells that only pump one creature one time such as Infuriate are subpar in Commander especially when you can only cast them once. If the spell pumped all creatures you control, protected the creature from removal or it made the creature have huge power with evasion then that's different, but the pump spells here don't do that. More draw is more impactful than pump.

This Commander looks dope! Personally, my favorite part about him is his ability that makes all your other creatures have Deathtouch. My take-away is now, your opponents never get to have creatures or yours get through their defenses unblocked! I looked in to some cards that fit the new 'party' mechanic in Zendikar to help your Commander come out.

I like what you've got going so far, but it needs a little streamlining...a little focus. We're going to take a look at how many cards do these things you want to do in your description. Sorry if this gets a little long winded...

If you're going to be giving deathtouch, it would be great to have more creatures that would really benefit from it. To me, that's either more of Kelsien's type...'pingers' as my playgroup calls them...such as Blood Cultist, Goblin Sharpshooter, and Deathbringer Thoctar, OR it's some giant nasties such as Chandra's Incinerator, Inferno Titan or Sun Titan, (but only if they work with the deck). Of the creatures you currently have, only Kelsien and Kalmne really do anything neat with deathtouch, meaning multiples of deathtouch cards are kind of wasted.

By adding more ways to find our deathtouch, we add ways to find other useful things too, and trim the worse deathtouch cards. We can replace things like Gorgon's Head and Flail with Heliod's Pilgrim and Open the Armory, we gain access to way more options, both if we do or do not need deathtouch at the moment.

The Mardu colors are amazing at killing things. Your deck should be able to mow down normal creatures without much problem, so removal that just 'destroy target creature's something is not what we want. You've already got some great exile options, but those are also excellent at dealing with other things, so I'd like to suggest the tried and true Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile, as well as Crackling Doom for really troublesome creatures. Despark and Generous Gift take care of everything else, and bonus points, Gift gives another creature for you to snipe. Shriveling Rot plays right into your strategy as well.

Like your deathtouch, I would really look at the quality of your reanimation. Is it better to have just a few really good pieces and consistently draw/tutor into it, or a lot and find that there isn't anything worthwhile to reanimate (I've been there)? A lot of these cards cost a bit of mana as well, so I would play some more mana rocks and card draw to help you get online faster. Signets like Rakdos Signet that come down before Kelsien are especially good (and I often run my rocks with Daretti, Scrap Savant, so I can turn them into important artifacts my opponents have destroyed later on). Black Market will also get us there in the long run. I like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell to really bulk up our 'ping' damage, and Sigarda's Aid just because it's awesome. Finally, Thrilling Encore does exactly what you want in this deck, and can even surprise your opponents after a board clear.

If deathtouch is part of your theme, then you might want to consider running Blood Cultist. Combined with Basilisk Collar, it can wipe your opponents' creatures off the board, and you will gain lots of life. Plus, the Cultist will be hugely buffed.

I think mostly I used cards that I had at the time, but I think deffinatly think I will remove Kathari Screecher and Blood Cultist for Sedraxis Specter and Grixis Grimblade . The Clout is good with the colors, but the haste is redundant with unearth.
