I was flipping through lists of commanders and was curious what Diaochan, Artful Beauty might be able to do. My first inclination was to invest into building around her ability.

Champion's Helm, Mask of Avacyn, and Swiftfoot Boots grant your creatures Hexproof (preventing them from being targeted by the second half of your commander's ability), while Glaring Spotlight and Arcane Lighthouse bypass it on your opponents. Similarly, Darksteel Plate, That Which Was Taken, and Soul of New Phyrexia grant Indestructible to protect your creatures.

Illusionist's Bracers and Rings of Brighthearth let you trigger her ability twice, while Jandor's Saddlebags, Puppet Strings, Staff of Domination, and Thousand-Year Elixir let you untap her for additional uses of her ability.

Karn, Silver Golem and Toymaker allow you to turn your opponents' artifacts into creatures so they can be targeted by your commander.

Given how many artifacts were involved in supporting her, I decided to add some additional support for them in the form of recovery like Junk Diver, Myr Retriever, Scrap Trawler, and Buried Ruin.

The rest of the deck is mostly just good red and artifact cards to provide a heavy control shell to further clear the board, protect you, deflect or copy spells, draw cards, ramp your land, and destroy enemy lands.
