I have wanted to create an all White Border themed deck for a long time. I knew it would be a challenge as by sticking to only cards that were printed with a White Border I am severely limiting the cards I can use. The first step was choosing a Commander. I decided on Nicol Bolas because he is my favorite character in Magic and I feel that in order to make an all White Border deck even slightly competitive is to play off of Nicol Bolas' own personality traits.

As the deck is limited in what it can use, I attempted to add all cards that would allow me to steal/copy the cards that my opponents play. This will give me the opportunity to get powerful cards that I can't include in the deck myself. I have also attempted to do anything that would give me the upper hand. Any white border extra turn cards have been included, Nicol Bolas doesn't think you deserve a turn. Tutors are included because Bolas doesn't like random chance, he likes to control the battle, thus I included as much Counter magic as possible.

Granite Grip , Firebreathing , and Blood Moon help me to make Nicol Bolas lethal while also shutting down opponents mana bases.

Sun Quan, Lord of Wu was included as nobody plays with Horsemanship and he will allow Nicol Bolas and any other creatures to become unblockable. Nicol Bolas doesn't care if you aren't prepared. Anti-Magic Aura was included to help protect Sun Quan from the hate he will inevitably receive.

Note: Azami, Lady of Scrolls is White Border, she is from the Salvat set that was only sold in Europe. It is the only legal printing of a White Border Azami.

The deck will only contain cards that were printed with a White Border. No altered cards.

I believe that the Mana Base is perfect.

I do believe that Commander damage is the best opportunity this deck has to win. I need more synergy where possible and additional win cons.

I searched for as many cards to give extra turns, extra combat phases, make Bolas unblockable and even bigger. I then look for all counterspells so people don't mess up my overall plan and then lastly card draw. I may have missed cards or have cards that aren't the best at what they do.
