Sun Quan, Lord of Wu Discussion

I like the deck and the idea behind it, just be unblockable. If that is your goal, why not try Sun Quan, Lord of Wu for some spice.

Sun Quan, Lord of Wu would make your creatures near unblockable, thereby making it easier to ninjutsu the ninjas in.

Baleful Strix and Tidehollow Strix provide excellent flying threat removal because they're cheap flying deathtouchers.

Meteor Golem provides great removal, and since you have the ability to bounce him out with the ninjas he's repeatable.

Vela the Night-Clad is a great addition as well because she gives your creatures intimidate and when you bounce your creatures for ninjas she adds some extra damage just for good measure. I used her as my ninja commander previously before Yuriko was spoiled. You can check that out here if you're interested in some more ideas. .....Until the Ninjas Showed Up

Hope some of these ideas help.

I just put Sun Quan, Lord of Wu in the sideboard to be replaced by Jungle Barrier to stick closer to the deck strategy and for more card draw that isn’t dependent on our commander

Sun Quan, Lord of Wu works well for Théoden King mechanically, but if you are aiming more for an "appearance"-oriented one, Darien, King of Kjeldor works, too.

Using Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive in there is pure genius, I am definitely stealing this idea. I am pondering Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa to replace my choice of Sun Quan, Lord of Wu.

Personally I am going for a Pillowfort approach with Defender theme. I have focused more on draw and card selection as well, I included cards like Edric, Spymaster of Trest, Sylvan Library and Abundance for this purpose.

Overall love your ideas, please feel free to comment on my decks, I can use the help!

The card Arcane Adaptation would allow Higure, the Still Wind to tutor for any creature card in the deck. Also Sun Quan, Lord of Wu would be a great asset in making your creatures near unblockable.
