Yeah, but Malfegor is really interesting. It also allows you to go into both sacrifice and discard at the same time. There's also a small reanimator theme since you're discarding cards as well.
The strategy is to hold onto as many cards in your hand as you can. Definitely play any discard payoffs as well as mana rocks, but hold onto your cards until you cast Malfegor . This ensures that your opponents will sacrifice more permanents. By the way, they can sac lands to your commander as well, so you can gain an advantage on mana. About discarding your hand, there are plenty of wheels like Magus of the Wheel and stuff to refill your hand once you discard it. So, no worries there.
Your job is to make sure your opponents don't have cards in hand. There are powerful synergies and cards in here to make sure they can't re-establish their board once Malfegor hits. Though just give up if you're playing against Tokens cuz they'll just sac those to the ability and keep on generating. Captive Audience is basically Destroy Target Player if they can't remove it, btw.
