Demonfire deals X damage to target creature, player or planeswalker. If a creature dealt damage this way would be put into a graveyard this turn, exile it instead.
Hellbent — If you have no cards in hand, Demonfire can't be countered by spells or abilities and the damage can't be prevented.

I'll admit to having a similar reaction to xyr0s. Pyromancer Ascension is a better card than Pyromancer's Goggles, it's probably better than Furnace of Rath most of the time too, I probably prefer Insult / Injury too. This deck needs Faithless Looting, Cathartic Reunion, heck even Tormenting Voice would be an improvement since right now your only draw is Manamorphose. I'm guessing your plan is to play Chalice of the Void on one to mess with your opponent then, wait until casting an X spell makes sense...
On the subject of the X spells Banefire and Demonfire are just better, due to the fact they can't be countered and the damage can't be stopped. It's good to have a theme, most efficient decks do, but having a theme only helps if the card choices are also efficient. The simple fact is that non X spells tend to deal damage more efficiently, take Skullcrack or Flames of the Blood Hand, there damage to cost ratio is better than an X spell, here's another Pyroclasm, it's a nice neat little board wipe. I don't mean to be overly negative, I'm just not sure this deck idea works that well, still I wish you luck and hope my com

First the bad news Avatar of Slaughter isn't modern legal, so unless you are just playing casually you can't really use it. Second your deck is sitting at 67 cards, which isn't ideal and some of those cards aren't that efficient, when you are playing a burn deck the idea is to deal as much damage as quickly as possible. To that end something like Quest for Pure Flame, The Flame of Keld or Pyromancer Ascension are better options than Guttersnipe or Embermaw Hellion. Cards like Lightning Greaves, Crimson Wisps, Renegade Tactics, or Citanul Flute don't really fit and Myr Welder is a worse Necrotic Ooze.
You might also want to use Koth of the Hammer as your plansewalker of choice here and Fireball, while an iconic name, isn't as good as Banefire, Demonfire or even Devil's Play. A last thought is something like Molten Vortex, since ideally your deck has a lower curve and you have spells to produce mana. I hope this is of some help, good luck with your brew.

How useful would Hellbent be as an ability be here? I'd assume that w/ so much discarding, effects requiring 0 card hands should be useful here somehow...

Btw, if you're slotting Food Chain , you want to slot a "cast from exile" creature with it.... I believe your only option in GR is Eternal Scourge . You'll have ample creature tutors in green (and can fetch him through birthing pod worst case scenario) .... it's going to be one of your infinite colored mana combos.
You can then find "X" mana token spells to infinitely flood the board, throw in a few red pump creatures to 1-shot, and also include some red burn such as Devil's Play , Fireball , cometstorm , Demonfire , etc.

Thank you very much for filling me in on that. I try to have a lot of hate against burn and very fast aggro decks because my friend has a Madness deck that I actually built for him and he uses it all the time against me. It's very fast and hard to beat. Here it is if you want to take a look at it Mardu Madness. And I will try using that method with Tasigur, the Golden Fang. I was having some success last night but then my friend using that deck tapped out with an uncounterable Demonfire, straight up destroyed me. And I did see how much advantage it was generating, however, my only concern is that if that's just going to be either a hit or miss. I have been editing my deck a lot the past few days and am trying to get it just right, so that's why it looks all messed up. Thank you very much for taking the time to help me with this. Do you think I should add more delve cards that interact with my graveyard, like other Delver cards or do you think Tasigur will be good enough? I want my deck to be flexible and not have to rely on a certain card or way of winning. So if my opponent plays a Rest in Peace or Relic of Progenitus, I will not be completely screwed.
