Strategy

This deck is based on a standard format deck I used for a long time that focused on giving creatures protection from whatever colors the opponent played. When it was expanded for EDH, it kept the same concept but also used a lot of enchantment love to work with what was already a heavy enchantment deck. There is no ultimate game-winning combo in the deck. It's built more to make the player and their creatures untouchable while pounding the opponent. That said, there are a few nice combos that the player can use in the game to give them a major advantage...

Notes and Combos

Guardian of the Gateless or Wall of Glare plus protection from the color of your choice, using one of the many aura cards that give that effect, will allow the player to stop every creature an opponent will send at once. The only thing to keep in mind is that this won't prevent trample damage or creatures that need to be blocked by more than one creature.

Yavimaya Enchantress can be an absolute beast in this deck. She pairs well with pretty much anything, but a few stand out cards include: Ancestral Mask , Ethereal Armor , Heliod, God of the Sun , and Helm of the Gods .

Privileged Position + Sterling Grove : Short of an absolute board wipe, your stuff is untouchable.

Concerted Effort + Pristine Angel : Keep the angel untapped and your creatures are untouchable from practically everything. The one drawback is that this also includes most of your stuff as well, including any auras already on creatures.

Single Stand Out Cards: Show

Celestial Ancient : Pretty self-explanatory in an enchantment heavy deck. It also doesn't target anything, so it ignores protection.

Mother of Runes : She can give protection to any creature, including herself, and she's super cheap to cast. Just a solid card.
