Setessan Champion Discussion

Pretty cool idea! Shame you can't get Setessan Champion in with the Umori clause, I always hated that she's not an enchantment creature!
Also not sure if Omen of the Hunt is necessary/good; seems like you'll be tapping out most of the time to deal with opponent's threats on T3. Could be two more The Birth of Meletis to help against aggro, and maybe there are your two slots for Callaphe instead of Alseid.
Do love the idea so hope you find success with it!

I looked at your Deck and built it from Memory to test it on arena. I think Kaya's Ghostform performs better than Destiny Spinner, keep the spinner in Sideboard for Counterspell heavy Decks. Kaya's Ghostform on your Setessan Champion is quite some insurance,...i played 3Polukranos, Unchained, 23 lands, no Mantle of the Wolf, cuz i forgot about it. i used 4 Overgrown Tomb and 3 Temple of Malady, 1 Fabled Passage. When playing against Controldecks i had to target my own Zombies to get the card draw going with Dead Weight and Mire's Grasp, but that's OK too. You definitely want to go against Aggro, that's where this deck performs really well. Off the meta, and not the selesnya version, so +1.

It looks like you're running an enchantment based deck, so why not run Setessan Champion? It's cheap, easy to cast, draws you cards and will keep on getting bigger with +1/+1 counters. Also, how about Season of Growth? Its only two mana, scrys for you when a creature enters the battlefield, and will draw you a card everytime you put an auroa on your creatures! Except for that, the deck looks good! Definately +1!

Many suggestions depend on how crazy you want to go with your mana base but assuming you are building in Jund colors, here I go...
Setessan Champion is the best card draw if you go enchantment heavy.
Also, I would suggest maybe adding some ramp cards because on turn 2 you will only be able to play two 1 cmc cards and on turn four you would likely only play a 1 cmc card and a 3 cmc card. Abundant Growth is good mana fixing and Arboreal Grazer is solid ramp.
If you feel up to cutting red and putting in white, there are better synergies around enchantments in white.

storro thanks for the suggestion.
I will admit that The Binding of the Titans is the most hit-or-miss card in the deck. I have it in the deck because
The final chapter can be very useful. Often, if my Setessan Champion gets killed, and it most likely will, I need to have a way to get it back from the graveyard. It can also get lands back from the graveyard which is nice.
I do like Gift of Paradise tho, I'll have to test that card out in the deck. Thanks again for the suggestion!

I agree with moxxem that Setessan Champion is a must in this deck, it's almost unthinkable to play a selesnya enchantment deck without it. However I wouldn't remove Paradise Druid because having a hexproof creature to invest on is very nice here, especially once you have it enchanted with Sentinel's Eyes for vigilance. Instead, I would start by cutting the Kenrith's Transformation and maybe run less lands.

Setessan Champion is must-have in this deck as it provides you additional cards and growths really fast. I suggest to replace it with Paradise Druid or Transcendent Envoy because the deck is using only 1-3 mana costs and so many ramp creatures are not needed there.
