Build Goal

This Skithiryx build is very straight forward; loaded with all the best mono black removal to control creature based builds and keep commanders off the board.

We're seeking to make 1:1 control work in EDH; we have a wincon in the command zone that we don't have to dig or tutor for that deletes players with 1-2 shots. With less players threatening, we can try to lock players out thru resource and creature denial, then finish them off with our commander.

The cheap equipment let's us both drop them in early turns and hold mana up for regen or interaction.

If your opponents are lacking in creature removal, typically you can get enough infect dealt to three players in 6-7 turns. Fast mana will allow deleting a player as early as turn 3-4 and is typical.

Once you have Skittles out, be careful blowing all your black mana on spells that won't advance you. Hold up your to regen or for some instant speed interaction.
