You could think this commander aim to a collective suicide, as a way to force opponents to lose with you. But it is not. This deck aim to be, as much as possible, at an odd life total with opponents at an even one to kill the table with a single activation of hidetsugu and a damage doubler. Alternatively, you can give hidetsugu lifelink, or make him unable to damage yourself.
