TLDR:

"So you play Infect?"

"No, but yes."

With this deck being an aggro strategy, we need to out-speed the rest of the table in the early game while there are still not a lot of blockers around. We want to start attacking with our deathtouchers and Fynn, the Fangbearer on the board on turn 3 at latest – preferably sooner.

Therefore, we want to have 1 to 3 deathtouchers in our starting hand with CMC 2 or less. If we chose to start the game without a 1-drop in hand, play your deathtoucher on turn 2 and Fynn on turn 3 only – don't give the table an entire turn to remove our commander!

Also, don't be afraid to send our 1/1 deathtouchers at mana dorks such as Birds of Paradise or utility creatures like Esper Sentinel early game if need be. Our opponents probably won't be willing to give up their ramp and / or card advantage just yet. If they do anyways, we will probably have set them back more than they have set back us.

Infect is scary. In fact, scary enough to likely make everyone want to kill us as soon as possible – even if we might not actually be the biggest threat at the table. As such, it is important to disincentivize attacking us and perform a reasonable amount of board control.

While our deathtouchers somewhat provide both, we get additional support from cards like Hornet Nest or Viridian Longbow. Even having a Cankerbloom on the battlefield can help us navigate our way through some politics with the threat of blowing up our opponent's stuff after blocking whatever they may swing at us – if not outright killing them with the proliferate trigger. Be careful though: Removing our opponent's creatures in moderation might sometimes prove more fruitful, if it means gaining a temporary ally.

Keep in mind that throughout the game we will need to keep pushing and attacking as to not fall behind. From lands like Access Tunnel and Rogue's Passage to spells like Predatory Focus or Obscuring Haze we have a good amount of options to get through damage and ensure our board stays intact. Don't be shy to use whatever is at our hand instead of waiting for "the perfect moment – it won't help us if we die beforehand.

Speaking of proliferate – Can anyone actually pronounce that? – Once we reach the late game, it will be increasingly difficult to keep Fynn on the battlefield and to push through with our weenie deathtouchers without any significant workarounds. Instead, we will aim for the kill by proliferating the hell out of our opponent's poison counters!
