Bird tribal deck, featuring an old and often overlooked commander; Kangee, Aerie Keeper.

So, you might ask yourself, "why the hell would anyone ever want to run that uncastable garbage?!" Well, honestly, the answer is simply just to be different. I mean, sure, it would take 8 mana to get just one Feather counter on him. That's 8 mana for a lord who would then give other birds a meager +1/+1. 10 mana would give the tribe a somewhat respectable +3/+3, which is way too much for something that does nothing else. But this old-ass Timmy here has some Johnny in him, and I believe I've got it sussed. Let me show you what I'm thinking...

The gameplan for this deck is not to cast Kangee with a ton paid into the kicker, but rather with just the 8 mana it costs to bring him in with just the one Feather counter. Afterwards, we utilize the numerous avenues to proliferate:

- Contentious Plan
- Flux Channeler
- Fuel for the Cause
- Grateful Apparition
- Inexorable Tide
- Thrummingbird
- Wanderer's Strike
- Contagion Clasp
- Karn's Bastion

This way, we're constantly adding to the benefits to our aviary such that eventually we end up with an unstoppable armada of flying death machines! And as if that weren't enough, Aven Mimeomancer is kind enough to give us exactly the kind of counter that Kangee wants each freaking upkeep! But wait, there's more...
So we've filled the deck with as much proliferate as Azorius can offer, so why not some things that fit the theme and also benefit from that?

- Mu Yanling, Sky Dancer & Mu Yanling, Celestial Wind
- Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker
- Shriek Raptor
- Soulcatcher
- Apex Hawks
- Cloudfin Raptor
- Animal Sanctuary

All of which is without acknowledging the most important question...
Obviously, Azorius isn't known for mana ramp, though there are certainly a slew of cheap artifact options available. However, we're running a sizable proliferate package, so we're maximizing that by using:

- Everflowing Chalice
- Astral Cornucopia
- Empowered Autogenerator
- Gemstone Array
- Blue Mana Battery
- Calciform Pools

On top of a few other, more mundane ramp spells.

Ultimately, this is a midrange deck, stocked with just enough denial and anthems to become viscous by mid to late game. Not the absolute most competitive deck ever, but certainly top of the line as far as casual decks go. Feel free to give me suggestions for improvement, sans infinite combos, and keeping with the theme.

Enjoy!
