Sage-Eye Avengers

Creature — Djinn Monk

Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)

Whenever Sage-Eye Avengers attacks, you may return target creature to its owner's hand if its power is less than Sage-Eye Avenger's power.

Hey this looks like a good start but here are some more suggestions.

Swap Tempest Caller , for something else like Sleep which makes you a drake token also.

Swap Coldsteel Heart for either Fellwar Stone or Mind Stone .

Swap Salvager of Secrets for Archaeomancer .

Swap Sage-Eye Avengers for Guile .

Swap Spiketail Drakeling for Lullmage Mentor .

Swap Hall of Triumph for maybe Coat of Arms .

Also consider swapping Perplexing Chimera for Docent of Perfection  Flip.

I will think of more over time, hope this helps!

RijtBart on Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest

I played a lot with my shu yun deck: the silent army. You can't have enough sources that make your creatures do damage. So unblockable is key. I would surely add Teleportal and Thassa, God of the Sea. Also, the first or double strike ability is pretty important as shu yun has a very low toughness and will die to almost anything. To protect him a bit I would add something like Swiftfoot Boots. People will get rid of him very fast once they know how he works.

One last suggestion: Sage-Eye Avengers is would be a great upgrade, plus it gets you some removal.

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm thinking that I may need evasion if I add more prowess cards. Wee Dragonauts, Stormchaser Mage, and Sage-Eye Avengers look good alone though. I'll fiddle with it.

I like the deck for sure. I would definitely recommend some Prowess creatures, as it just like a wasted opportunity to not run them in this kind of Izzet deck. Monastery Swiftspear, Mage-Ring Bully, Stormchaser Mage, Pearl Lake Ancient, and Sage-Eye Avengers could all do really well in this deck.

For more cards that care about you casting noncreature spells, see Abbot of Keral Keep, Pristine Skywise, Sage of the Inward Eye, Sage-Eye Avengers, Soulblade Djinn, Cunning Breezedancer, Goblinslide, Mistfire Adept, Monastery Swiftspear, Quiet Contemplation, Seeker of the Way, Skywise Teachings, Tapestry of the Ages, and Elusive Spellfist.

Also, if you're looking for infinite combos involving noncreature spells, get Dovescape and Guile out, then cast any noncreature spell with a CMC greater than 0, and you can get infinite 1/1 white and blue Bird creature tokens with flying.

Runeroads on Dimir Diciples of Phenax, Deception & Duplication

Same note I gave above on Braingeyser for Mind Spring.Swap Copy Enchantment for Fabricate or Copy Artifact. Fabricate will let you get more answers.

So last thing is the big question. How do you win?

Your Possibilities are Cloning, Commander Damage, Mill, Mill for Damage, combo, and/or Damage. So how do we weaponize Cloning and Mill?

For Milling turning into damage I would say Bloodchief Ascension and Duskmantle Guildmage are the only 2 cards that do this.

For Milling Phenax, God of Deception, Traumatize, Psychic Spiral, and Sphinx's Tutelage do this. Might consider Intruder Alarm, Freed from the Real, or Pemmin's Aura.

Infinite Combos: Phenax, God of Deception + Eater of the Dead. Bloodchief Ascension or Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank.

Fueling your clones. You can't do anything cute like Biovisionary. You can't clone your clones. I believe there is some ruling that if you clone a clone it becomes whatever the target was cloning. So I would say you need good ETB and On Attack creatures. Off the top of my head I would say Banshee of the Dread Choir, Broodbirth Viper, Colossal Whale, Frost Titan, Grave Titan, Prognostic Sphinx, Raving Dead, Sage-Eye Avengers, and/or Windreader Sphinx. The titan's are really powerful I would consider them a strong include. Maybe instead of Dimir Guildmage and/or Nighthowler

A Shapeshifter you may have missed is Duplicant.

Damage, lots of creatures, Rise of the Dark Realms, kicked Rite of Replication, you may want to add Blade of Selves.

I notice you took out Persistent Nightmare  Flip and Dragonlord Silumgar. I felt like these 2 did a lot of work for you last night.

Alright that is all I have.
