It's been a while since I was craving for and EDH with The Scarab God, and I recently looted it in a booster!

I based this deck on the "Undead Unleashed" precon, which already has a lot to fit in the zomboy theme deck :)

But some change were obsviously done:

• Counter spells: well, it can

• Threats: there was close to nothing in the deck to handle scary things, but I only added a Tragic Slip for the target removal, and The Meathook Massacre for the wrath effect (usefull afterwards to drain/gain life). I might add more creatures/spells to destroy if I see a need, but I need more games with the deck first. Speaking of draining effects, I also added Gray Merchant of Asphodel which is massive paired with The Scarab God (ETB + ETB once exiled from the graveyard)

• Meal time: I have to give offerings to The Scarab God, so I added more mill cards: Altar of the Brood, Mindcrank

• Doubling steps: Well, with a deck like this, I couldn't skip on a card like Paradox Haze, which is huge for The Scarab God as well as Shadow Kin

• Card draw: Oh boy, the precon was misisng a lot on this part IMHO. First, two tutors to ensure the deck can work (Mystical Tutor, Entomb). Secondly, spells to draw/fil lthe graveyard to accelerate the game: Village Rites, Strategic Planning, Windfall, Fact or Fiction. I also added Tainted Pact to dig a bit more, as well as Kindred Discovery to accelerate a lot the game :)

I also added some utilities:

• Zombies are slow ... so I added a Leyline of Anticipation. Great in every situation: casting sorcery at instant speed, casting creatures with effect jsut before my turn to protect them from effect on other player turns, etc.

• Not enough sacrifice mecanics: It's good and all to have so much zombies on the board, but the best use they have is to go back in the graveyard haha, so I added Nantuko Husk to fill the role.

• Black magic: Well, this is a black deck, so I for sure think that Dark Ritual is really nice, it can accelerate early or give more mana to feed The Scarab God later on :)

Combos:

• Infinite something: [Phyrexian Altar (2X2:396) f] + [Gravecrawler (000)] + any zombie on your battlefield. Sacrifice and resurect gravecrawler indefinitely. Then choose your flavor. [The Meathook Massacre (DBL)] or [Diregraf Captain (MIC)] or [Plague Belcher] for infinite damage, [Altar of the Brood (KTK)] for infinite mill, [Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver (MIC) f] and [Diregraf Colossus (MIC)] infinite tokens

• Draw machine: [Undead Augur (MIC)]+ [Gravecrawler (000)] + sac outlet ([Phyrexian Altar (2X2:396) f], [Nantuko Husk (ONS)])
