Wyleth, Soul of Equipments

Commander / EDH RW (Boros) Voltron

UnicornKillr

This is a casual Wyleth, Soul of Steel deck focussed mostly on Equipment.

Wyleth is a great Boros commander because it negates one of Boros greatest weakness, card advantage.
Wyleth can easily draw lots of cards with just a few cheap equipments attached to him, so our goal is to do just that:
Play lots of small equipments and swing with Wyleth to draw cards so we can do it again!

So how do we win?
We have a few routes we can take to win: Commander damage, Regular damage, Infect, Combo.

Wyleth, Soul of Steel has Trample so that makes getting in damage alot easier. What damage you asked?
We have some small buffs like Tenza, Godo's Maul , Heirloom Blade and stuff like that to pump up our commander's muscles and do some damage.
What we are actually doing though, is drawing more cards so we can find our big buffs All That Glitters or Blackblade Reforged and punch someone out of the game in one or 2 swings.
Oh and Reyav, Master Smith halves the damage we need to do!
You can't always rely on your commander to do all the work, so having some back-up plans laying around is always a good idea.
Grafted Exoskeleton is one of those back-up plans, 10 damage is easier as 21 and we don't even need our commander to deal the damage.
just pump up another creature and put on the exoskeleton. If you have Sigarda's Aid or Stonehewer Giant you can even do this at instant speed!

OK what about regular damage?
Same thing as commander damage basicly but with another creature. So who are our favorites to load our stuff on?
Fervent Champion First strike and mostly free equips.
Champion of the Flame Pump those mooscles!
Valduk, Keeper of the Flame He is lazy and makes his elementals do the work (keeps him safe though).

We aint got many, but we got one for back-up:
Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host = Infinite Combat steps and infinite Godo's. If they dont have an answer or an indestructable creature you win the game with this.

We have a Sunforger in here, which is nice since it gives +4 power which helps in dealing commander damage aswell as tutoring some removal or protection. Oh, Mistveil Plains helps to re-use those spells over and over agains.
Suite:
Swords to Plowshares
Generous Gift
Crush Contraband
Chaos Warp
Crush Contraband
Boros Charm
Wild Ricochet
Since we have a high focus on using our commander to attack it is important to try and protect that strategy. This is why we run quite a few protection pieces:
Lightning Greaves . Swiftfoot Boots and Whispersilk Cloak make our general hard to target. The cloak and greaves are a bit tricky since the shroud blocks our equips, but i think the upside outweights the downside.

Darksteel Plate / Timely Ward makes any creature indestructable, NICE!.
Akiri, Fearless Voyager Also does this to equiped creatures, We have have lots of low equip costs so this is quite reliable.
Unquestioned Authority , Prowler's Helm , Rogue's Passage and Whispersilk Cloak Makes our creature unblockable.
Commander's Plate Does a similar job and also buff's our commander. Boros Charm For all emergencies!
