Normally I build around my commander pretty heavily; it's EDH, that's the point, right? This time out, I'm trying the opposite. I started with Seasons Past and Praetor's Counsel, and didn't settle on a legendary until I was halfway through my list. I considered Yisan as my leader since he naturally likes a Pod-esque suite of dudes at every CMC, but to reinforce the idea that this deck doesn't need its commander to function, I opted for Melira instead. I might change my mind.
