Deck Primer: - Step 1: Get set up. You shouldn't worry about activating Lulu's abilities yet. Just build a board, make some extra mana if you can, and cast Lulu and Hermit when you can. - Step 2: Look for ways to sacrifice and ways to tap. While sacrificing your creatures or tapping them usually is a downside, Lulu and Hermit give so much upside it's worth sacrificing or tapping for no other reason. You only need to lose one nontoken creature on your turn for both abilities to go off, but Lulu only puts counters on the tapped creatures, so you want to tap as many things as possible. - Step 3: Rebels find rebels. There are four rebels in the deck that can sacrifice themselves for various benefits, and a chunk of rebels who can go find them. If you can't find a way to sacrifice your creatures or just need to keep building your board up, go find a rebel that can sacrifice. And remember- that's a tap effect so that searcher creature will get untapped and bigger because of Lulu when you do! - Step 4: Attack with everything. Once your board is big enough, you should be attacking with everything or nearly everything on all your turns. If they block nothing, great, you dealt a lot of damage and might be able to sacrifice something to get your triggers anyway. If they block a token, that triggers Lulu but not Hermit, which still means the rest of your creatures get bigger and can block. If they block a nontoken (besides Lulu), you also get two new squirrels (which Lulu turns into untapped 2/2s right away!)
