Overview:

This is a take on the Peace Offering precon's play style. I really enjoyed some of the group hug elements, particularly the gift cards where I could reward just one player or the tempt cards that benefited me the more other players took part in them. I don't really enjoy the hug cards that just say "hey, let's all be happy and get free stuff on my dime". With cards like Hunted Horror and Wear Down, I'm getting premium stuff at discount prices, and assisting just one player in the process.

One goal of the deck is to be consisted of cards that players can't hate in a vacuum. There are no wipes, the 2 counterspells are the friendliest ways of countering a spell, the removal gives you something in return, and I rely on other player's cards to secure the win. I suppose a person could hate Sol Ring and I wouldn't have a solid response for that.

Garth One-Eye just happens to be the 5 color commander I chose, but you could use any of them really (and I'm sure Kenrith is probably better). The only cards in the deck that really support him specifically are Lightning Greaves and the three blink cards. They also work well with the ETB creatures I have, so it just kinda worked itself out that way. Garth also gives me a toolbox of things like ramp, draw, and removal, so I was able to be more flexible on the number and type of those cards. With all that being said, I could never cast him in a game and would not care.

This deck could be much better if I were to put money into the land base to get cards like Mana Confluence and City of Brass, but I enjoy the challenge of using budget lands to make workable land bases.

You could also argue things like Beast Within and Arcane Denial might fit here, but those are more "softening the blow" and less "hey I am going to do something neat, here's a little gift". I avoided cards like Humble Defector because I don't want to give things away that I may never get back.
