Sideboard

Fantasy theme! Unicorns, Pegasi, Faeries, Dragons, Wizards, Dryads, Elves, Merfolk, Selkie, Witches, Elementals, Wands, Castles, and even a resident Gargoyle!(If he decides to show his face) Wanted to make a Rubinia deck for AGES and wanted to do something cool with it. Creature-stealing, spell-stealing, copying, and some nonsense. I saw those new Adventure cards in Throne of Eldraine and figured they would work well with Dryad Militant so why not, eh? Tossed in some cool newer fantasy cards like Transmogrifying Wand, Leafkin Druid, Loyal Unicorn, and Good-Fortune Unicorn, and then threw in some favorites like Shinewend and Wall of Denial. Also since this was built with casual in mind, I saw this as a chance to include some older cards that don't get much sun these days like Willow Faerie, Scryb Sprites, Sky Spirit, Moon Sprite, Thornwind Faeries, and Castle. This deck doesn't have too many combos exactly, but I've had some great games with it, even winning a few! Claws of Gix is in there for Rubinia obviously, and Dryad Militant does work great with adventure cards, locking out some of your opponent's spells while your adventures still go to the graveyard when the creatures die. Most of the creatures are small, so you need pump spells to really get them going, though most of them do have flying. Pledge of Unity works great there. The sideboard is just a few cards I carry alongside the deck for use with Fae of Wishes. Chaos Wand, Mind's Dilation and Perplexing Chimera can totally mess with your opponent's strategy in hilarious ways, and stealing back the chimera after using it with Rubinia always kind of throws people for a loop. Games with this deck are fun and chaotic. I even had a friend say, "This is nonsense! It's chaos! It doesn't make any sense! Why!?!?" (They weren't happy) while another friend laughed and said to me, "I didn't think you played Rakdos!"

Out:Armillary Sphere

In:Seasinger

Never get around to using the sphere, with the rocks/dorks available. Never need it. Seasinger is situational, but it does give me another creature-stealer that's on-theme as it's a mermaid/siren.
