Building this deck to represent the pieces on the chessboard. Black pieces are vampires, white are angels -- no other creatures. Each side consists of seven legendary (major pieces) and eight non-legendary (pawns) angels and vampires; Rodolf Duskbringer is the king for both. Mana base and mana symbols in the deck are split equally between white and black. For additional symmetry there are 16 unique lands, as well as eight each of instants, sorceries, enchantments and artifacts. Pyre of Heroes is the feature card for the deck to represent promoting a pawn.
