AND YOU WON'T ATTRACT THE WORM

Deck's based around Jaxis, and all the loopy shenanigans she can get into. This is a more budget focused build of the deck, opting out of things like Infinite Combats with Combat Celebrant in favor of decking yourself ta shit.

Thornbite Staff is prolly the most important card in the deck! In spite of how we're named after the Thermopod, it's more a flavor choice than anything.

Here's the list of all the infinites, and what they do. You're gonna want to take a photo of this, G.

Thornbite Staff + Jaxis, the Troublemaker + Any Self-Sacrificing Mana Generator (Reckless Barbarian, Catalyst Elemental and even technically Atsushi, the Blazing Sky, since the token copy of itself dies due to Legend Rule.)

This gets you infinite mana, and draws your deck. You need a single card in hand to activate it, since the draw requires a discard. You CAN technically do this with things like Goldhound or Skirk Prospector, but since they only give you enough mana to reactivate Jaxis, this is only really good if you already have a "Kill everyone instantly" card on the field (Outpost Siege and Impact Tremors).

You also can go at this with any card that generates or Treasure on ETB, so long as you also have a sac outlet on the field. Thermopod is the objectively funniest one, but you can also find Dark-Dweller Oracle off Goblin Matron and Imperial Recruiter, and obviously, Goblin Bombardment can just win you the game.

You're on very minimal "Draw" cards. You got a lot of card Replacements, things like Bitter Reunion and Cathartic Reunion. Effects that force you to go neutral. You don't have a lot of graveyard retrieval (it's pretty much just Feldon of the Third Path) so you're gonna be either discarding interaction (yikes) or discarding combo pieces (yikes). Between the two, it's obviously moment to moment, but I'd lean more towards interaction, more often than not.

You have a lot of ways to make Jaxis go brrr. Discarding a Priest of Urabrask might feel like the wrong play, but you'll prolly just draw into a card:__ Goblin immediately after. Meanwhile, you only have one Chaos Warp, ya know?

Oh, speaking of which. card:__ Goblin is giving you 6 . The sticker "Delusionary" exists. Though, if you copy it, unless the original is dead, you have to find a second sticker for the copy. "Gelatinous" is the best second one, gives you 5.

Feldon's Cane is here because there's no good graveyard shuffle in Red. You COULD be on Elixir of Immortality, but getting 3 mana in a "you are about to deck yourself out" scenario could be difficult. Up to you.

There's also Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Objectively speaking, he's cheaper Jaxis. You can do the Coercive Recruiter line without the worm, since you don't need to eat the pirate to pay for the second pirate. Actually, you get those two cards (or Zealous Conscripts) and you just Win. You make Infinite Women.

You're on a bunch of Red Rituals. Stuff like Seething Song, Mana Geyser, all those. You're using them (and lands like Dwarven Ruins) to get ONE big turn. Most ramp exists to keep you ahead. You Do Not Play Those Kinda Games. You are here to either WIN, or IMMEDIATELY DIE. 12 mana is Typically your goal. That's about the cost for a Blitz'd Jaxis, the staff and equip cost, something to duplicate, and the 1 to get the wheels turning.

ONCE AGAIN. You need 1 and 1 card in your hand. Tattoo this on your eyelids. I cannot tell you how many solitares I went all in and ended up with everything set up, but couldn't activate Jaxis. It's heartbreaking. Use things like Skullclamp, The Autonomous Furnace, and Hedron Archive to get ACTUAL card draw, so that you have spare things in your hand to discard.

You're also on SOME exile-play stuff, but not a lot. You could prolly go harder on it, but honestly, there's nothing more disheartening than exiling the worm before you can play it. Still, card advantage is card advantage.
