At some point, I would like to build a black/white EDH deck with Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim as the general, so I certainly would like to ask the other members of this forum for any suggestions for such a deck.

The main theme of this deck would be sacrificing creatures for various benefits, so I naturally shall include plenty of sacrifice outlets, such as Ayli herself, Denethor, Ruling Steward, Commissar Severina Raine, Hidden Stockpile, and so forth; then, I would include cards that provide benefits from creatures dying, such as Life Insurance, Feast of the Victorious Dead, Proper Burial, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, or Butcher of Malakir; finally, the deck shall also contain methods to generate tokens for sacrificing or reanimating creatures that I have already sacrificed, such as Malevolent Awakening, Bitterblossom, Black Market Connections, Sister Hospitaller, Sun Titan, and Grave Titan.

It is likely that this deck shall have some overlap with my Meren of Clan Nel Toth EDH deck, but I would like to avoid those two decks being too similar to each other, so I certainly am eager to hear your suggestions for an Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim Deck!

Forgot to mention, Black Market Connections is also a great include alongside or replacing Phyrexian Arena. It's more costly lifewise but having the option to get tokens as sac fodder seems like a great

Angelsprout, it is always good to see players building new decks, so, for this idea, I suggest that you use cards that generate tokens or reanimate creatures, so that you may continue to feed Felothar's ability, and some cards that I would recommend are Golgari Germination, Golgari Guildmage, Twilight Drover, Ghave, Guru of Spores, Bitterblossom, and Black Market Connections, but there are many more cards that could be used in such a deck, so I recommend that you check EDHREC.com for further information, as that website is an excellent resource for the EDH/commander format.

I have replaced Black Market Connections with Widespread Thieving, because this deck does not have a sufficient amount of methods of gaining life, to offset the life loss from the former enchantment.

I think Painful Truths looks really weak in a 2-coloured deck. It's just a painful divination unless you have cobra or birds for it.

Maybe consider playing a Triland to fetch up. Or consider Black Market Connections as a (perhaps a little expensive) replacement.
