I wasn't planning on playing EDH this week; but since I will be out of town for the next three weeks, I figured I'd stop by for a game or two after therapy (I needed to stop by the shop for card sleeves, anyways). Only one problem - I didn't have a new deck to try out. So I dissected my mono-black spirit deck, took out the majority of black cards from Gitrog, sprinkled some cards courtesy of Mogis, and filled in the deck with some cards that were just laying around. The result was a compilation of what black mana can accomplish in a last-minute deck.
