Shauku, Endbringer did you read that? Read it again. Epic old school cool!

Was organizing my library the other night and I stumbled on this nostalgia bomb. Flashback to my childhood and always having one of these in my binder and never playing it because I was focused on Standard and building a Legacy collection. 7 mana just wasn't feasible for either so in the back of the binder it sat. Fast forward 25 years and here we are. Shauku has serious EDH potential!

I've built mono black voltron decks before. Many different directions with many different strategies but I have never built a mono black voltron deck with ONE creature and a stax shell behind it. This was interesting to brew. Designing this made me really look at my collection and cards in a different way.

Crawlspace neat tech. Block the smaller creature, tap and exile the bigger creature.

Portcullis similar. Only 2 on the battlefield. Period. All you can eat buffet for Shauku.

Lethal Vapors, Spreading Plague, Tainted AEther and No Mercy are brutal stax taxes that are irrelevant to our gameplay.

Arterial Flow, Blood Tribute, Cavern of Souls and Kindred Dominance are the tribal tricks.

Stinging Study kind of like Wheel of Fortune or Griselbrand.

Death Pit Offering neat tech for the strategy. Puts Shauku on a 3 turn clock.

Homicidal Seclusion and Dragon Shadow are test spots. If there is an aura or equipment that is drastically better to this strategy let me know!
