Thanks a ton! Replenish I can do. Serra's Sanctum is a little steep.

How about card:Faith's Reward or Second Sunrise

Yeah the Sanctum is pricey, but if you are patient you can sometimes score lightly played ones on ebay for like 20 bucks.

One of my favorite things about playing enchantment heavy decks is the ability to lockdown. You are running a lot already in that regard stuff like Prison Term , Story Circle , card:Martyr's Bond etc.

You should definitely run the new Blind Obedience here. Heck i guess Kismet is another option. Just throwing out some ideas for you.

I love the Blind Obedience ! missed that in the spoilers.Would you suggest switching out the Ethereal Armor ?

Personally i think your weakest enchantment is probably Nevermore If you are playing multiplayer games.

Targeting one players general is your most common use for it, however it won't help you win the game really. That or Painful Quandary or Polluted Bonds . Both can be devastating cards but both will also put a target on your back the minute they resolve.

Sometimes you gotta be political :)

Also some of your creatures are less than stellar in the format. I would at the very least replace the Royal Assassin with something like Sepulchral Primordial . Again I am assuming multiplayer games here, if you are going head to head let me know.

nah you were right man. I do play mostly multiplayer games, although it usually ends up being me versus somebody else. The plan was to have those be late drops once other people are dead. I like the Sepulchral Primordial . I'll definitely keep that in mind once Gatecrash drops and I open some packs. I'll keep in the Nevermore in for now but if it playtests poorly i'll definitely switch that out. This deck is purely hypothetical right now, so thanks a ton for the advice man! I'll get around to picking up the cards i need in the next month or so.

Cool glad I could help! I have been playing an enchantment deck for a long time now and I love it.

However people started getting wise in my group and pack more heat for them now.

I wish you luck and I look forward to hearing how it goes!

@ LittleBlueHero: I disagree with your assessment of Royal Assassin . He has a low CMC and is great at dissuading people from attacking you, but not necessarily as overpowered as Avatar of Woe and therefore draws less attention.

I do, however, agree with his assessment of Nevermore . It's not so great in multiplayer (especially EDH).

Do you often find that you have adequate protection against your competition's creatures? Seems like you have enough agro drawing cards and very good creatures that your opponents would over time target mainly you. (That is of course unless you have Sphere of Safety . What an absurd little card...)

If you're running Ghostly Prison , you might like to run also Windborn Muse . Know that she is not an enchantment, but will also make attacking you much harder.

I originally had the muse, but i cut her. You guys really don't like Nevermore ? Just permanently stop a commander?

If someone is using something cruel and unusual like Olivia Voldaren or something, then it could be a nice protection. However, if you're doing multiplayer then it is only really useful against one opponent (for the most part). Unless you just don't care, that is one fantastic way piss them off and draw their agro. Besides, they probably have 60+ other useful cards that Nevermore would from then on be useless against.

That's just the way I think it would turn out. I've never run it in my play group for those reasons, so I don't know for sure.

My personal opinion is to keep Nevermore in. Generals like Olivia Voldaren or Kaalia of the Vast can do a lot of work since they are on the battlefield so it's better to keep them of the battlefield. Of course, in multiplayer game it is not as good as in 1 vs 1, but still.. if I were you, I would keep it in.

Excellent theme! I'm also building a BW deck and I'm cruising around looking for ideas. I will use some of these, but I like the direction you took. Very aggressive! (+1)

Also, Sphere of Safety seems like an auto-include for this deck.

A few more words on Nevermore and Royal Assassin .

I may have been a bit too hasty in my assessment of these cards. After reading the comments and such I decided to try them out in Multiplayer a bit and what I have realized is that one of two things always happens.

  1. They are destroyed almost immediately.

  2. They becomes a political maneuvering card...

people will obviously question attacking anyone since you could just blow them up afterwards. And many will actively avoid killing you off to keep an opponents General in check. Many a deal was struck while playing these cards, so im my opinion if you are good at swindling and making/breaking alliances by all means run them.

However, if you are a sit back and watch other people duke it out guy... leave them out because they will only make the center of attention for many at the table.

Also nothing from Dragon's maze looks like it is a must have in here yet, but Obzedat's Aid could be very useful since it returns permanents to the battlefield and the new Teysa might make for a good alternate commander as she is effectively a better version of a couple different enchantments on one card.

Check out the new orzhov vampire, Blood Baron of Vizkopa , Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts and Debt to the Deathless . Those may fit here.
