This is a cEDh strategy list. Competitive commander decks are all trying to win the game with some form of a fast combo. That is forcing all decks to include interactions to deal with it. That is making Counterspell into an almost must have.

Or simply but, you need interactions in your deck unless you wanna sit and watch your opponents win the game.

So, dose that means have to play COMBO in order to win a competitive commander game?

No.

This list is filled with cards that provide some form of interaction. But can also, if left unchecked, turn into a WINCON. Scavenging Ooze is the best example for this. It comes into play at a low cost. And for one green mana you can interrupt a grave combo. Quite good. But it grows. Each time you eat a creature Scavenging Ooze gets a +1/+1 counter and can become a big problem.

Now lets compare Scavenging Ooze with Forgotten Ancient . Forgotten Ancient is a typical casual card. it grows really big and is a WINCON defiantly. And it is bad. It offers no interaction at all. Don't play it.

Lets also compare Scavenging Ooze with Dark Impostor . SIX MANA! That is too much. Can't have an expensive card like that in the deck. Or sure, you can maybe have one. But I would not recommend it, and that is way a card like Dark Impostor isn't in this list.

Now lets compare Scavenging Ooze with Force of Will . Force of Will is a great card. But it doesn't win the game. Or well it makes sure you don't lose the game, and that is important. You should play it.

But this list and gameplan are to have a maximum control build. Yes play Force of Will and the typical Counterspell and other variants. But then find other control cards that can provide interactions, and turn into a WINCON.

In this list, you will also find a bunch of Ideal suggested commanders. You wanna have a commander that draws cards. In general. Or can just give more gas. Tymna the Weaver and Thrasios, Triton Hero might be the best example. Four colors and a lot of card draw! They will help us out when we run out of gas! So your deck is filled with interactions that can win the game for you. And you have commanders that draws you more gas when your opponents deal with your interactiv winconsidtions.

Anafenza, the Foremost

Great is shutting down Flash Protean Hulk . But also hurts The Gitrog Monster . Then when this creature attacks you can grow your boardstate. Typicaly this will put +1/+1 counters on Sisay, Weatherlight Captain or Tymna the Weaver . but it can also buff Birds of Paradise and other dorks. Anafenza helps your army grow!

Some creatures are already really big from the start. But cost a lot of mana. You can have 1-2 of them inside your deck I guess. Depending on your deck ofcourse.And I wanted to give them a separate place just because of that.

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite

This is a great finisher! She will interact with all opponents creatures. And boost all of yours. turning all off your dorks into fighters.

Sisay, Weatherlight Captain

Is really ideal for this kind of strategy. She can tutor for the right hatebear you need. She is a great card drawing commander that can go voltron with the army she builds. picturing grabbing Anafenza, the Foremost in instant speed from your deck in respons to an opponents Flash .

I have a deck folder for all my decks I have made if you wanna look around for other ideas. I play close to every commander and strange gameplan. So there is a bunch of different decks in that folder. I have other more organized smaller folders of specific concepts too. But this folder simply contain everything I have ever made. Its a good place if you only wish to scroll around for inspiration.

Najeela decks

Five colored warrior boss! The blade lady is by fare my favorit commander. You can build so many different decks with here that I have a bunch. In this folder you will find all my Najeela decks I have. But you will also find my Najeela Primer. Wihch isen't a deck but an artical about her. Mostly what cards to play and not to play.

Now some of the suggested commanders don't give you card draw. But they can give you card production. Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and Meren of Clan Nel Toth are two good examples that can bring back cards into action once more. That isn't a card draw, but it is gas.
