This is a deck that seeks to both display Avacyn's descent into madness and her ascension to inquisition, the bloodstained wings of war propelling her forward.

The seeds of men are rotten

Insanity is rampant in the Lunarch church, and all are susceptible to it, as displayed by cards like Harness by Force. Take control of opposing creatures, and then before giving them up sacrifice them using cards like Phyrexian Vault to fuel the inquisition.

Avacyn seeks to purify her world of all the horrors wrought by men. Her flight of angels are bent on cleansing Innistrad using cards like True Conviction and Aggravated Assault to double damage over and over, allowing Avacyn to swing for lethal and her holy warriors to remove all other threats.

All are called to the holy fire, to battle with Avacyn's enemies and purge the world of evil. Cards like Mob Rule and Devout Invocation allow her to recruit her army.

Righteous fury and holy retribution is not enough for the coming battles. The war engine hungers for fuel, and cards like Infernal Plunge and Battle Hymn due more than enough to serve this purpose.

Man's time is up. He has wrought sins upon countless sins upon the world. Avacyn can see clearly now, the true grotesque image of man, the warped mind and greedy little hands that drive him to kill and pillage, destroy and steal. The time has come. The crusade begins, and the great work must be completed.
