This is a stompy punishing burn and aggro deck. I found ways to include instant and sorceries that get around Ruric Thar, the Unbowed like Pulse of Murasa or Wilt . I feel that I am missing some amazing interactions because this is a different playstyle than I am accustomed to.

• Mockery of Nature is a new update to the deck for the cast trigger. This helps deal with Humility .

I recently sold choke due to a price spike and took out a couple other cards. I'm still looking into the cards in my maybe board and waiting for the release of zendikar rising to fill out the deck.

key cards

• Wilt gets around ruric but can be held up for Humility or Kasmina's Transmutation so I can remove them. Once I draw into another non creature removal card I can cycle it out without worrying.

• Grafted Exoskeleton is the cheapest win condition with Ruric Thar, the Unbowed . I'll try this out and only remove if my Playgroups don't approve.

• Harsh Mentor is a great punisher and that's what this deck does. Immolation Shaman gets a special mention for adding punishment and also having a mana dump for me to pump him. Harsh Mentor is strictly better at punishment.

• Collector Ouphe is Stony Silence that is also a creature. It's well worth it to shut down my opponents mana rocks and other bullshit. Hum of the Radix helps against artifacts as well.

• Cindervines is a cheap and small ruric effect that is one sidedand has a removal effect if necessary. This is the perfect early game card.

• Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs has a nice tax effect or gives me scary vanilla 3/3's to block with. With Stoneshaker Shaman or Price of Glory this will put opponents in a tough spot.

• Beast Whisperer draws cards from my deck with 50 creatures in it. Seems like a no brainer to me.

• Nikya of the Old Ways is a mana doubler for all my mana dumps like welder automation or high cost creatures I've been drawing into with Soul of the Harvest .

• Blood Moon shuts down nonbasic crap like Academy Ruins and Hall of Heliod's Generosity . I will gladly turn my own lands into mountains considering my nonbasic lands are not too powerful.

• Wild Evocation is just plain fun to play with. This can help or hurt me greatly. If I cut down enough noncreature spells this could be useful for forcing my opponents to take damage from ruric when they normally wouldn't.

• Flameblast Dragon is a great mana dump for when I'm ramped up with all my mana dorks and Nikya of the Old Ways .

• Hoarding Dragon fetches an artifact but doesn't let go. I'm not sure if I can call this useful yet.

• The Akroan War seems good but I can't see a good line of play with this. I suppose it helps with Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs and since ruric has vigilance I shouldn't worry about it.

• Timesifter is a personal favorite of mine. It has ruined the game for me before. The odds are in my favor here for the most part but I'm not sure yet.

• Heartless Hidetsugu can cut down on life, making ruric thar all the more threatening. Also, paired with Grafted Exoskeleton this is a quick finisher, ending in a draw with infect is fine.

• I recently slighty updated the deck. I guess I'm looking for casual but aggressive, I like the stax/punishment in this deck. Ruric has a nice ability so I'm trying to see what else I can do with that. I like the idea of having every interaction be a decision. Obviously I still need to have card draw and ramp so I'm looking for anything that could make that better also.

• I'm currently saving up for the new commander legends and Zendikar sets so I'm on a lower budget for now. I would say about $10/week including my other decks and sleeves(I'm replacing my worn out ones). I wouldn't mind mildly expensive suggestions that I could save up for.

• Yeah I guess i'm trying to make this deck like a maze that people have to work around and make difficult decisions. Like, If I have Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs and Price of Glory with The Akroan War . I could also go with creating a bit of a chaos deck (almost), like having Wild Evocation to create like an arena where everyone is doing things and randomly being punished.
