DemonDragonJ on Advice for a Green/White EDH …

I am planning to build a green/white EDH deck, with Sigarda, Host of Herons as the general, so I would like to ask for advice on constructing it.
Most decks that have the original Sigarda as the general tend to be either "Voltron" decks (i.e., making the general as powerful as possible) or "enchantress" decks (i.e., focusing on enchantments), so I would like to make my deck slightly different from the typical Sigarda deck; specifically, I plan for the deck to have three major themes: a focus on gaining life, but not quite to the extent of my Liesa, Shroud of Dusk deck; a focus on generating creature tokens, but not to the extent of my Ghired, Conclave Exile deck; and a focus on putting +1/+1 counters on creatures, but not to the extent of my Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck; in other words, it shall be a "jack of all trades" deck, but with plenty of synergy and overlap between those themes. Sigarda does not directly contribute to any of those themes, but I chose her as the general, because she is very difficult to remove, once she is on the battlefield, and I feel that this type of creative and unusual deckbuilding is good and should be encouraged.
First, for gaining life, I am considering cards that make it easy to do so, such as True Conviction, Dazzling Angel, Archangel of Thune, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Sunscorch Regent, Oracle of Nectars, and Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn, as well as cards that offer payoffs/rewards for gaining life, such as (again) Archangel of Thune, Lathiel, Trelesarra, moon dancer, Blossoming Bogbeast or Trudge Garden.
Second, for generating creature tokens, I am considering Vernal Sovereign, Aura Mutation, Trudge Garden (again), Selesnya Guildmage (possibly), or Scepter of Celebration, and, for cards that reward me for generating tokens, I am considering Juniper Order Ranger, Cathars' Crusade, Dazzling Angel, and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice.
Third, for placing +1/+1 counters on creatures, I am considering Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Archangel of Thune, Juniper Order Ranger, Cathars' Crusade, Sunscorch Regent, Forgotten Ancient (possibly), and (possibly) Vigor, and, for cards that allow me to use those counters as payment for other effects, I am considering Fertilid, Mindless Automaton, (possibly) Ooze Flux.
Notice how many of those cards have synergy and overlap, allowing me to pursue three themes in a single deck, and I also plan to have a number of generically good cards that I use in many of my decks, such as True Conviction, Mirari's Wake, Seedborn Muse, or Sigarda, Font of Blessings, as well as several cards that I have not used in any of my previous decks, thus far, such as Hydra Broodmaster, Pledge of Loyalty, Camaraderie, Commander's Plate, Behemoth Sledge, Shield of the Oversoul, or Veteran Beastrider. I also am considering putting either Valkyrie Harbinger or Kalonian Hydra into this deck, but I do not wish for this deck to be too similar to any of my other decks, so I would prefer to avoid putting those cards into this deck, if I can avoid doing so, and I also am not yet certain about Doubling Season, staff of completion, or Selvala, Explorer Returned, since those cards would be awesome in this deck, but I do not wish to use them in every deck in which they would be a good addition.
What does everyone else say about this? Do you think that this is an interesting idea, and what suggestions can you make, for me? Thank you, very much, and I certainly am awaiting everyone’s responses!

Saskia keeps hitting

Saskia keeps hitting probably could have avoided a loss and thereby maybe even won, but me being a bit of a prick killed us all in a five player game. Nolan on Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow was running away with it. I had six saprolings from an Aether Mutation that took out Jared's Soul of New Phyrexia. Those let me convoke to cast City on Fire plus the black Odric, Brutal Hordechief. Untapped and attacked all out on Nolan and using Brutal Hordechief's activation. Unfortunately, my Blade of Selves on Tireless Provisioner meant my 3-2 myriad copy attacking Doug allowed me to kill all of his creatures, with my triple damage. I could have left Doug, on Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, with some blockers, but alas, I killed them all. That meant Nolan was able to cast Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow plus a Nanogene Conversion, getting through with four attackers for 20 Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow triggers, which turned out to be exactly enough to kill all of us, me last of all, via Yuriko triggers. The last one killed me. Still dead

leon_bulminot, my 10% rule is "20% unless it interacts with the commander" and I end up including very few "win-more" cards because of that. Perhaps I should be more lenient? Take Anointed Procession for example: If I cast this card, it does nothing by itself. If my commander makes tokens (e.g. Kykar, Wind's Fury or my deck is making tokens, (e.g. Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, then it makes sense to include it.
For a while, I had been keeping Rooftop Storm in my Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant deck because it lets me cast my commander for free, and this combos infinitely with an Ashnod's Altar in play, making infinite zombies or wahtever. But, as I took the zombies out and replaced them with more non-zombie aristocrats, I decided to finally remove the card. Again, just not enough interaction with the rest of the deck. Win-more cards are deckbuilding traps, in my opinion.

I will always have a soft spot for lifegain decks. They may not be the most competitive but they remind me of when I started playing the game with the M19 Ajani planeswalker deck. They just make me smile. :)
I do have some recommendations, though:
Trostani, Selesnya's Voice might be worth looking into. Works really well with all the big creatures in the deck.
Branching Evolution is probably a "win more" kind of card but it still could be worth checking out, at least.
Sigarda's Splendor might offer some more card draw if needed. Might be a bit of a pain to keep track of on paper, though (I mainly use it in Arena).
Test of Endurance is another lifegain wincon. If you wait another month or so, its price will come down because it's getting reprinted in Dominaria Remastered. There's a borderless, full art version, too!

Scenario: I activate Halsin, Emerald Archdruid's ability targeting a treasure token I control. That treasure token becomes a green Bear creature with base power and toughness 4/4 in addition to its other colors and types. If this ability resolves, I will have a green Token - Artifact Creature - Bear with base power and toughness 4/4. I then activate Trostani, Selesnya's Voice's ability targeting the Bear.
Question: When the populate ability resolves, will I have a 4/4 Bear or a treasure token?

I think you should really make sure you have some life gain effects. Your opponents should be hitting you with a lot of chip damage. You could easily find yourself just getting whittled down to the point where you can't go on offense. Lifegain is probably a good way to keep yourself going.
I agree with TypicalTimmy's idea about aristocrats being a good option. You'll want resiliency in your game plan and the ability to hit everyone at once.
I'll propose a different route: Naya tokens. Use the soul sisters and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice to gain life and kill everyone with Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors. Your goal won't necessarily be to hit everyone with a Craterhoof, but rather to get loads of blockers out there and killing everyone while you do it. I'd roll with Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer as your commander so you can tutor up the Purphoros or the soul sisters.
Honestly the mutate thing sounds super fun, but I think it might fall apart with you as the arch enemy.
