Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard
At the beginning of your end step, if you control no creatures with decayed, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token with decayed. (It can't block. When it attacks, sacrifice it at end of combat.)

Thanks for the suggestions! I've been tuning the list ever since Final Fantasy was released. Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia and Lord Skitter, Sewer King are definitely on my list to pick up. I'm just not sure what to cut! Valgavoth, Terror Eater, or Sheoldred, Whispering One could be on the chopping block, but they just seem too fun to play with...

Hi hi! Love the list. It appears quite considered and polished.
I would recommend some more fodder! Some potent ones I have cast myself are Timeline Culler, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Lord Skitter, Sewer King. They cheaply populate the board for all your aristocratic chicanery.
Enjoy my upvote! Have a good day!

I think it makes sense. It seems like a trend in contemporary design is to reduce "gummed up" boards that lead to stalemates. Some examples are Decayed tokens or creatures, such as ones created by Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia or Gisa, Glorious Resurrector. This is definitely not a comprehensive list, but here's various examples of mostly contemporary designs that create creature tokens that can't block.
The ability to block any number of creatures isn't very common, and is used on very rare occasions. I think it's a generally a pretty low-impact mechanic, so it makes sense it's not going to see much use.

I think most Shadowborn Apostle decks run a few more than six copies. As it stands now, you need to draw into all six individually to make them more valuable than 6x Hired Poisoner or whatever. Your Ophiomancers and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalias give you some sac fodder, but the Apostles can work just as well for that if you need them to.
The tough part about Apostles in Modern is that they take up a big chunk of your mana curve. A T1 Swamp, Apostle; T2 Swamp, 2x Apostle; T3 Swamp, 3x Apostle puts you in line to pull out a Demon on turn 4, which is where most of the Demons in this deck are sitting anyway. Right now, you're basically giving up the early game for a little extra mana in the mid game, adjusting for competitiveness.
So if you want to build around the Apostles, my suggestion is to go all in on Apostles, use fewer but bigger Demons (maybe something like Archfiend of Depravity, Pestilence Demon, or Reaper from the Abyss), and add some more 1-2 mana control/tempo options, filling out your removal and discard suite. Echoing Return also feels like some solid support.

I like the deck. You asked for suggestions in early game, so I'm looking at your goals and seeing how to best reach them.
The mana curve leans a bit high for your goal, and I think you could use more mana ramping. The cards creating treasure tokens are a solid option. You might look for lower CMC cost creatures, as many of yours are better in mid game but aren't affordable with 2 or 3 mana. Barrier of Bones is a cheap drop that can hold ground decently, and gives you a brief surveil. Manaforge Cinder could be helpful if you are are struggling with mana color. If you had more zombies (you currently have 4), then Gravecrawler could be very fun to add. Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia would provide a steady stream of zombies at pretty early game. Also in general, having low CMC early game drops means you can also bounce a creature using Unearth. If you lean on sacrifice, you can also benefit from Mortician Beetle early on.
Best of luck!

I think your deck could benefit from creating more tokens to sac to grimgrin. Cards like Bitterblossom and Dreadhorde Invasion and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia can give you that free sac each turn.
looks fun!

The list looks good. As someone who played something very similar previously (in a word when Fury was still legal), i’m not convinced you want Aether Vial or Deadly Dispute… the deck functions best when being hyper-aggressive, and while both of these cards serve as strong tempo-plays, they also buy your opponent time to stabilise. I’d rather see more aggressive options like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia and/or Ob Nixilis, the Adversary, which both play well into the sacrifice payoffs while also applying more pressure to the opponent.
