Favorite Turn 2 Wins

So I've recently been completely fascinated with imagining the most ridiculous turn 2 wins that I can, and now I'm curious to see what other Tappedouters have come up with. Do you have a fun/ridiculous combo that wins on turn 2 that you especially like?

LordDavop says... #1

I forgot to mention you are using Dread Return on Angel of Glory's Rise to bring back Hapless Researcher and Laboratory Maniac .

December 22, 2013 2:16 p.m.

T1: Island , Sol Ring , Pili-Pala , Paradise Mantle

T2: Training Grounds , equip Paradise Mantle to Pili-pala, infinite mana, cast Comet Storm

It even is a turn 2 win in multiplayer.

When it was legal for a week in legacy, I played Hulk-Flash and won 10 or so games in a tournament on turn zero. Always draw first, then start the game with Gemstone Caverns in play. Exile Simian Spirit Guide or Elvish Spirit Guide , then cast Flash to play Protean Hulk . He enters the battlefield, and then dies when you can't pay for him. Then you get to search up 4 Disciple of the Vault , and Phyrexian Marauder with Shifting Wall .

The artifact creatures have 0 toughness and die as a state based effect. Your opponent dies.

Turn 1: drop a Swamp , tap for Dark Ritual , cast Putrid Imp , discard It That Betrays , use remaining two mana for Exhume ... opponent scoops...

It's capable of consistent turn 1-2 kills, it either puts Griselbrand and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in play and swings for the 21 or Griselbrand swings alone and you chain rituals and just cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn take your extra turn and swing for the rest. The better explination is in the description

Turn 1: Play an mounatain, and a Black Lotus then play Ornithopter . Then tap and sac the Black Lotus for 3 islands to play Tinker . Sacrifice Ornithopter and search your library for Blightsteel Colossus and put him into play.

Turn 2: Attack and Win

...Unless they play Fog , in which case you kill them on turn 3

GlistenerAgent says... #7

More necro! Yay!

One does not simply sacrifice a Black Lotus for three Island s. Also, the Mountain is unnecessary.

I just ask:

"If I give you the panties I'm wearing now, will you let me when the game?"

I'm a shrewd business man...

I never agree to anything unless I know exactly what I am getting.
I wouldn't agree to that unless I first get to see them, and the proof that they are the ones you are currently wearing.

I usually wear dresses, so both of those are quite easy to do.

thats... an any turn win...

October 16, 2014 5:45 p.m.

Best turn 1 win ever...

  1. 3x Black Lotus
  2. 1x Mountain
  3. 1x Sanguine Bond
  4. 1x Exquisite Blood
  5. 1x Shock

infinite damage loop :)

October 17, 2014 12:04 a.m.

Bluecontrolfreak, that combo costs 11 mana, but the Lotuses (Lotii? Lotode?) + the mountain only make 10 total. You could use Gut Shot instead of Shock to do it turn 1, or just wait until untapping on turn 2.

Rayenous says... #15

@Femme_Fatale...

So... in many cases, that would be able to get you a T0 win.

What do you do in the next match?

October 17, 2014 7:59 a.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #16

I have 85 pairs of panties. You take a guess~

October 17, 2014 4:06 p.m.

Turn 1: Mountain, tap it for a Sol Ring, tap the Sol Ring for Immolating Souleater.

Turn 2: Mountain, pump up Immolating Souleater until your down to 2 life. This will make Immolating Souleater a 10/1. Attack. Then play Fling, reducing your opponent to even less life. Then play Lava Spike to kill your opponent, if they're not already dead.

Pyromancer Strom can win turn 2 in modern, but it requires a god-hand and god-draws. Has never happened to me. It would be a lot easier if Seething Song was unbanned. : (

November 29, 2014 9:24 p.m.

Turn 1: Reveal Chancellor of the Tangle, use the green mana to play Glistener Elf. Then play a Forest and enchant Glistener Elf with Rancor.

Turn 2: Play a Forest, play Giant Growth, and Groundswell, and attack for 10 infect. Easy? Probably not. Possible? Yes. You need 8 separate cards in 2 turns. I think that this is possible. What do you guys think?

November 30, 2014 3:35 p.m.

Turn 1: Play a Forest, then a Glistener Elf.

Turn 2: Play a Mountain, then do a Groundswell on Glistener Elf, then use the mountain for Assault Strobe

Five cards on turn 2. Easily possible.

December 3, 2014 7:11 p.m.

vampirelazarus.

This thread has been necroed so many times lol

December 3, 2014 7:31 p.m.

@Archetype_Of_Awesomeness

Or, you know, you could play playable cards and get there with Might of Old Krosa and Mutagenic Growth instead of Assault Strobe.

December 3, 2014 7:37 p.m.

Turn 1: Play a Island, then a Black Lotus, and a Mox Sapphire. Tap the island for a Sol Ring. Tap the Sol Ring for a Pili-Pala. After that, tap the Black Lotus for three Islands. Use those island for a Grand Architect. Tap the Mox Sapphire to make Pili-Pala a blue creature. Then you get infinite mana of any color. Once you have infinite mana, the choice is yours. You can either play Banefire, or Psychic Drain for a 1 vs.1 match, or if you are playing multiplayer, you can play Fireball

December 3, 2014 8:14 p.m.

Guys, this thread was started in 2011.

Its been necroed like.... three times.

Lets let it die.

December 3, 2014 8:16 p.m.

Six times.

December 3, 2014 8:21 p.m.

And the necromancer strikes again

December 3, 2014 10:53 p.m.

Yup like I said. Been necroed too many times. Let the poor horse die.

December 3, 2014 10:54 p.m.

I last posted on this thread on October 18, 2011.

After years of being a super-lurker, I have come out to say this thread is my crowning achivement on Tappedout.

That is all.

December 4, 2014 1:01 a.m.

SimicPower says... #29

I think recently people have been necroing it just for fun because it has been necroed so many times.

Anyway, I'm sure if we let it die now it will be back in another year.

Turn 1 win: Reveal Chancellor of the Tangle, play a mountain. Play Manamorphose, getting 1 black and 1 red. Play 2x Dark Ritual, play Legion Loyalist, then play Hatred for 19, swing. This dies to Gut Shot, I know.

December 7, 2014 5:30 p.m.

Or you could cast Goblin Guide and not die to Gut Shot

December 7, 2014 5:45 p.m.

Prima says... #32

Never thought of that. I ran a standard boros aggro deck a while ago and Legion Loyalist was stuck in my head.

December 7, 2014 5:47 p.m.

Scouty says... #33

Turn 1 - Play 7 Black Lotus

Turn 2 - Draw into a Fireball, Sac all the lotuses and cast it for game

Trust me, this is legal. Im a level 5 Judge.

December 11, 2014 10:35 p.m.

Turn 1: Play a Mountain, Play 3 Rite of Flame's and a Seething Song. Then play Dragonstorm, and search your library for 4 Hunted Dragon's. Attack and win.

December 28, 2014 7:48 p.m.

And now we are at seven.

Stop necroing.

STOP NECROING

Read the date that this thread was made and tell me if it follows regular forum etiquette to be posting in this thread.

December 28, 2014 8:02 p.m.

Goddammit guys not another one

December 28, 2014 8:54 p.m.

Honestly, what's the big deal? It's not like the content of the thread expires. When somebody revives a thread like "what's the best standard deck?" after 3 years, yeah, that's pretty dumb. But if people wanna talk about their favorite turn-2 wins, it's not exactly time sensitive.

December 29, 2014 3:22 a.m.

If you make exceptions, you have to make exceptions for everything. For instance, the discussion on "best standard deck" will never expire as the format is constantly changing, ergo the best deck will change over time.

Its bad because it pushes irrelevant threads back to the top of the page. With it at the top, it pushes current discussions down the page, where they wont be seen.

No one cares anymore. The last couple of posts in here, have been the one guy bumping it, and the rest of us telling him not too.

The OP is a self procalimed "super lurker" who joined the site four years ago, started the thread, disappeared, and then came back when the thread got bumped. They came back not to contribute, but to say that the bump was their greatest achievement.

On that same line: half the people in this thread, aren't on the site anymore. someone will inevitably try to talk to them, not realizing that they havent been on since their last post in this thread, and due to that, someone will think someone is ignoring them, and that causes drama.

If you necro threads that seem like they might be "relevant," just stop, drop, and roll.......... And dont bump.

December 29, 2014 3:32 a.m.

mossflower says... #40

I was kidding when I said this thread was my greatest achievement (I admit it wasn't very funny).

I agree that this thread really does need to stop being necro'ed, but it somehow manages to keep coming back. Can't Epochalyptik just lock it and be done with it?

December 29, 2014 4:43 a.m.

Yeah the thing is nobody cares about the greatest t2 win anymore, and it's not like this is an actual discussion that is somewhat relevant.

December 29, 2014 11:48 a.m.

No, no one can lock it because that ability doesn't exist.

December 29, 2014 1:12 p.m.

How do I necro it?

December 29, 2014 1:48 p.m.

I got a turn two DRAW that is pretty amazing.

T1: play Black Lotus tap for three blue mana. play Mox Sapphire tap for one blue mana. cast Mana Severance and exile all lands. play a Shelldock Isle to exile Divine Intervention. cast Time Walk for another turn. on your next turn tap Mox Sapphire to cast Divine Intervention with Shelldock Isle. pass turn.

T2:Divine Intervention loses a counter on your upkeep. cast Clockspinning triggering Divine Intervention for a draw.
