This is my first go at making a public post but I feel I need to as this is my pet project. So it all began when I saw this foil at my card shop.I knew at that moment I had to make a mono red commander deck with this beauty at the helm. For the most part this deck has been quite successful especially against the Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon deck in the group. Most of the spirit's and arcane spells can replaced at your discretion, however Malignus is an obvious must, same with Ryusei, the Falling Star . A surprising must is honestly card:Yoki Onni, she is really good at sniping off utility artifacts and can be recast to steal four drops. However the rest of the spirits and arcanes should just be there to fill every cmc slot so you have the utility to hit every card in your opponents arsenal. Gamble is necessary as, well all tutors are, moving on. The mono coloured staples like Caged Sun , Ruby Medallion (will be added once I have money), Gauntlet of Power (I'm personally not a big fan) and the rest that you can think of should be added. City of Shadows was a weird encounter at the shop but is an amazing card when there is no land destruction in the group. Rite of the Raging Storm as well was new and not yet tested however in theory this card is amazing. Creates a sac outlet for you to abuse every turn with City of Shadows , Culling Dais , and really painful when saced to Bloodshot Cyclops . It also gets rid of annoying chump blockers and gets a good amount of free damage in that doesn't hurt yourself allowing Earthquake to hit for lethal more reliably. As well this deck tends to win very narrowly when I play it unless I get Insurrection off or the combat doubler's. Also you may have noticed that Skyfire Kirin doesn't untap nor give haste to the creatures it steals so Urabrask the Hidden and card:Hammer of Purphuros is pretty nice. Now I will say this deck is not optimized to perfection however the power level is nearly perfect for the group so changes aren't necessary. I also say I have 9 other active decks that need upgrades and or need to be made before this one. However suggestions are nice regardless so when the day comes I can make this jank master the most powerful deck in the format. And if anyone wants to build this deck better than I have the suggestions can help them.
