This was a deck I brewed for a Red/Green Christmas challenge. It ended up doing better than I thought it would against my local playgroup. The gameplan is to ramp out a lot of mana with mana dorks / mana rocks / ramp spells, disrupt the table selectively (Beast Within / sweepers / Caustic Catterpillar / Gorilla Shaman / Polis Crusher), and win with hasted +2/+2 tramplers.

The deck is too slow for competitive EDH, but decent, and not overpowered in casual.

Pros:

• Krosan is not a commander that will put a target on your back or a well known one
• Budget-friendly (take out Gaea's Cradle)
• Timmy-friendly
• Good in slower games with lots of damage flying around, decent on defense and powerful on-turn plays
• Consistent in being able to pump out threats

Cons:

• Some of the paths to a winning position are 3+ turns, which can be too slow for some metas
• Best cards / silver bullets aren't always available (e.g. Fervor, board wipes, etc.) and the number of tutors is just 1 (worldly tutor)

Hard hitters:

• Atarka, World Render - 12 damage alone, flying, and 16 damage with Krosan on the field.
• Polis Crusher - can be monstrous by turn 5, assuming a mana dork on turn 1/2/3, at which point he can start killing enchantments
• Deus of Calamity - starts strip mining your opponents on turn 5/6, kills 2 when it gets double strike
• Hellkite Tyrant - take your opponents' artifacts

Notably high performers:

• Ruination - If used on turn 3/4, it can reset your opponents and potentially mess them up for several turns.
• Gorilla Shaman - great for killing 0/1 mana artifacts, good early game mana dump if you have no other plays open
• Savage Twister
• Mizziam Mortars
• Vandalblast
• Fervor
• Kessig Wolf Run
• Sword of Feast and Famine - Golgari is popular, so is black. Let's you be slightly "unfair" by essentially doubling your mana.

Fun combos:

• Jolrael, Empress of Beasts + Savage Twister = Deny lands and creatures
• Post-attack momentous fall / rishkar's expertise
