Karametra Grave Ramp

Commander / EDH*

Palorius

This deck is all about graveyard antics. However, If somebody has graveyard hate, you can just beat them down with your creatures. Use Karametra to ramp the hell out of your deck. It's not uncommon to have 10 mana by 5th turn. Oh--and 10 mana...is the magic number because Primal Surge will win you the game. It's the only non-permanent in this deck. If you get it off, you win. However you can go off in a number of ways. The pivotal piece is Emeria Shepherd. If you have her out, and can keep her safe, the game is most likely over. A sac outlet, of which there are 5, takes the game. Ideally, you want Emeria Shepherd, World Shaper, and Altar of Dementia. Mill yourself with land fetchers, to throw your deck in the graveyard (Veteran Explorer is nice for this). Pull out your key pieces using forests to target the 0 and 1 cmc cards. Cast Veteran Explorer again, netting a land on cast (from Karametra) return another card to play. Lather, rinse, repeat. You can go infinite with tokens, life, recursion and mana. Put all your permanents out. Starfield of Nyx makes all your Chants into creatures. You can use this to your advantage in many situations such as using with Altar's abilities for card advantage. Additionally, with creature destruction you can sac down to less than 5 Chants to fizzle the spell/save your board.

Some cards for trouble spots: Dragonlord Dromoka - for control decks.

Avarice Totem - for removing pesky weird stuff. When infinite, you can take control of the whole board by: exchange/O-ring/sac O-ring. It's a funny surprise to have a green/white steal deck.

Variations: I used to run Altar of the Brood in this deck, but removed it in favor of another sac outlet. City of Solitude is also a great replacement for Dromoka, but can't swing for damage. Additionally it will prevent you from responses to exile effects. Fanatical Devotion is another great sac outlet, allowing you to regenerate to boot. Riftsweeper is a great card if you want to insist on having the combo in the deck.
