So I wanted to build a mono-blue giant sea monsters EDH with Quest for Ula's Temple in it. Looking around, I found heinrichgraum's Mono Blue Kraken, and I even already had quite a few of the cards. But I wasn't too sure about the mana-intensive general Tromokratis. This got me to thinking - I had long been threatening my playgroup with a Psychogenic Probe. And who better to combo it with than Thada Adel, Acquisitor, who forces your opponents to shuffle their libraries? So I ended up with artifacts & islandwalk subtheme, since I want to have lots of mana to play other people's artifacts, and I'm planning to have lots of artifacts, and I also want them to have islands so I can take their stuff. I threw in my proliferate package that I've used in other decks, my equipment package from my Gisela deck, and things began coming together.

I avoided a lot of tutors, because I don't want to be shuffling my own library. Instead I added lots of card draw to keep the deck going. There is Muddle the Mixture so you can find the probe. This deck would benefit from Reliquary Tower, or you can hope to find Thought Vessel, Spellbook or Venser's Journal in somebody else's deck. I played 2 games with it and lost them both, but I had my opponents on the defensive a lot, especially with Thada suited up with Fireshrieker, Gate Smasher & Mask of Avacyn, with the probe on the field. I didn't include a lot of combat tricks or counterspells for personal preference, but they could certainly be added.
