Surgeons general commander warning: silver boarded commander games are known to be carcinogenic to spikes. This is a direct rip of ShadowMonarchCaius's decklist, with slight modifications.

Thoughts on the number of lands? Realized 35 is too few. Added a few more basics, and returned Migratory Greathorn (which exclusively tutors those 6 basics). The curve is hard to distinguish with all those mutations.

I'm open to any suggestions to make this as powerful as possible, with a caveat.

  • I won't add individually busted cards that don't contribute to the synergies of the deck like Cyclonic Rift or Rhystic Study. Those kinds of cards aren't fun to play against, and this isn't cedh.

With that said, I don't know how powerful or fun my maybe board cards are, so I'm interested on input from others. These are basically the only other silver boarded cards worth looking at. Anything else is either too good, too weak, or too annoying.

  • AWOL - this might be too good. It permanently removes commanders as confirmed by Mark Rosewater. Only [card:Karn Liberated|Karn] brings them back. Is that fine, or frustrating? Ignoring the off chance of a "feels bad" experience, it's a 3 Mana conditional removal spell that permanently removes the threat (which just so happens it could be a commander.) Does that make it safe to add, or not even worth it the anger?
  • B-I-N-G-O - this is the first of the final few to graduate into the deck. Is it too powerful, or fine? I'd still appreciate the feedback.
  • Some Disassembly Required - this feels perfect for the deck, but also might be too underwhelming or risky. Feels good to include in December though. Thoughts?

Honerable mention:

  • Booster Tutor - this feels fair, but frustrating for reasons you wouldn't think. Having to pause a game to buy, crack, and evaluate a pack in the middle of a multiplayer game is annoying.
  • Flavor Judge - while thematic, and a target for turkey, it's never going to get activated. Feels underwhelming.
  • Gifts Given - this one feels too un-fun and too powerful.
  • Infinity Elemental - after a lot of consideration I've decided this is fair, but it's not great in this deck, and worth ditching just to avoid irritating opponents who don't realize it's not all that amazing.
  • Ordinary Pony - this isn't 100% out of the question, but I need more gameplay data before I honestly consider it.
  • Topsy Turvy - I'm ruling this too annoying. Might be fun in a more "un" encouraged environment, but not when my silver boardered deck is trying to pass as a black boarded deck in disguise.
  • Who / What / When / Where / Why - just feels underwhelming.
